This movie is full of romance and action. It tells a unique and true story of a woman whose life was spared because of the vision of a Lakota warrior. Michael Greyeyes and Janine Turner did an excellent job in this movie along with good supporting roles from many including Dennis Weaver. Too much profanity which was not necessary to tell the story. An otherwise excellent film.

Three Cheers for Miss Bishop

I just saw this movie for the first time today. Martha Scott did a superb job playing a mid-western teacher who put her career and love for people above her own personal happiness. I really enjoyed this sentimental piece. The supporting cast was excellent too.
Captain Blood

Errol Flynn And Olivia De Haviland At Their Best!
16 July 1999
One of my most favorite films. Errol Flynn rose to the occasion in playing the kind-hearted, but revengeful Captain Blood. The screen play of this movie follows the book quite faithfully. The scenery and story line are marvelous! A must see for any old movie buff!

Inspiring & Courageous

This is one of my favorite movies to watch. I so admire the main character's, Mary Ingles', courage and perseverance under great trial. I had a chance to read the story of the real Mary Ingles that this was based on, and what an amazing lady she was!
Good performances by Sheryl Lee, Eric Schweig, and Ellen Burstyn. Hallmark told this tale without a lot of violence, no profanity, and no trashy sex. This film is well worth seeing.

Straight Forward DocuDrama about a Truly Great Man
18 May 1999
This movie is one of my favorites because Chief Joseph is one of my favorite men in history. Here was a man possessed with great intelligence and character. He led his people and suffered great loss. This film shows the inhumanity of man to his fellow man and how one truly great man can rise the the occasion of greatness in the middle of great danger. An excellent film to watch.

The Longest Movie Worth Seeing

This war epic is a marvel of keeping the story line going with so many sub-plots. I thoroughly enjoy seeing this movie of the allied invasion even more so since I returned from Normandy, France. This memorable film is well worth the time to watch it.

My Favorite John Wayne Film
12 May 1999
What makes this western film so unique is that the movie focuses not on just fights between cowboys and Indians, but shows the emotions of a strong character when faced with the loss of loved ones. John Wayne also shows us a dark side to his character - that of prejudism. This film is really great watching!

My Favorite Kids Classic

I absolutely loved this film even though it is very hard to find any reference to it at all. I grew up watching this in Illinois and just loved the story about the little girl who tamed the white stallion. I'd recommend this movie to any child who loves animals.
Cheyenne Warrior

Enjoyable Tale of Lost Love
8 May 1999
I enjoyed this movie very much. The story of a pioneer white woman and a tough Cheyenne Warrior with a caring heart is portrayed well by Kelly Preston & Pato Hoffman. I loved the acting and the story line, but felt there was much too much violence and profanity at the beginning of the movie. I recommend this for maturer audiences. I especially liked to see a portrayal of some decent character in the lead parts.

Fast-paced, entertaining Western

All the actors put in a top-notch performance. The humor and pathos of it all makes this very good watching. I appreciate that no profanity was allowed in this. Violence was kept at a minimum. John Wayne is wonderful as always!
