Bad Boys' Ball (1995)
Another Swords Classic
This is one in a long line of Swords classics. A true masterclass of direction and casting.
The plot twists and weaves like a twisty weaving plot should do.
The Swords family is starting to get a firm grip on the world of film direction and stunt work and acting.
Shift over Spielberg and Kirby and long may this resurgence continue.
One bad point, no 2nd or 3rd cop performance from Travis Swords and a distinct lack of stunt work from Sheree Swords.
Otherwise, 1st class. (10 out of 10)
Shipley Street (1982)
What an absolute corker
Tackling blatant racism is something that Shipley specialises in. It is good to see that his strong morales and firm beliefs are portrayed on the screen in such a dominant fashion.
Just one complaint, why no Travis Swords or Peter Kirby? I feel this film would benefit enormously from a 2nd or 3rd cop or a typical smoky, melodic Kirby performance.
Excellent stuff.
