The Wheel weaves as the Wheel wills but Rafe Judkins touches the Pattern even more than The dark One....
I want to point out that the casting is amazing: Rosamund Pike, Daniel Henney, Zoë Robins, Josha Stradowski, Kate Fleetwood, Priyanka Bose, Álvaro Morte, Johann Myers, Clare Perkins, Daryl McCormack I can't imagine better people for their characters. The rest of the cast is also very good.
The whole world with its iconic cities and locations like Tar Valon, the two rivers, Fal Dara are wonderfully recreated.
For the first episode which is the only one relatively close to the story in the books I could say that it was even better than the books.
Then in episode two we go to Shadar Logoth and here one of the most mysterious and interesting things in the books the essence of Mashadar - Mordeth - Mat story with the dagger and Padan Fain was completely changed. But I said to myself, I accept it, let's see what happens next.
In episode three we meet The Tuatha'an and they are also great.
Episode four is completely out of the story in the books but was filled with things that explain so much about the way this fantasy world exists as we had recreated the story of Logain which is only mentioned in the books. And this was so cool.
Episode 5 was nothing special but it was enjoyable to watch.
Regarding episode six, I personally liked it, but I don't agree with the way they developed the story. The exile of the Moiraines and the reaction of the sisters in the White Tower were all wrong. The way Moiraine healed Mat was unrealistic she is just no so powerful to do it.
Episode seven is probably my favorite. The Way were surprisingly well presented. The scene with Machin Shin and the lack of sufficient explanation of what it is and that it really has nothing to do with the dark one was kind of week moment. Fal Dara was uniquely recreated. The way Lord Agelmar reacted to an Aes Sedai was totally wrong. Min was not what I expected, but her visions were beautifully recreated
and here all good things are ending
The last episode was total trash nothing to do with history or the books or rules on which this fantasy world is based. I don't know exactly where to start
1. The idea that whoever went into the eye of the world without being the dragon reborn will die was foolish. The eye of the world is not the prison of the dark one and has nothing to do with what we saw in the episode.
2. The Blight must be dangerous and deadly and here it was just weeds that anyone could cross.
3. The distances were ridiculous
4. The idea that 5 untrained women could use The One Power in a way that even trained Aes Seadi would find difficult was foolish. In many places in the books it is described that these splits are inaccessible to Novices and Accepted. IF anyone can make them what is the point of decades of training in the White Tower.
5. In the world of the wheel of time, death cannot be cured, and this is fundamental.
6. Moiraine gives rand a male sa angreal in which the power of hundreds of the most powerful men is inserted. This is top of the stupidity. There is no way she can know or be sure even if is what she said. She can't touch the male side and check it no women can. Also what about Callandor or Choedan Kal. Perhaps in the Age of legends there have been millions
almighty channeler or what ? Just imagine how thousand male channelers which cannot be linked to each other because man just can't to form a circle without women work together to create this stupid statue. This was total trash
7. Some main characters that appear until the end of the story and have their part to play got killed in the most stupid way, for nothing without reason
8. In the end we have Seanchan arrival and it could be so good if damane just have their a'dam but no they have stupid golden balls in their mouth.
Last episode ruin my Christmas this was not WoT world, This was not even close to Robert Jordan story or characters, this was just trash.
