The Panamanian cinema had an emergence in 2010 with the premiere of "Chance" by director Abner Benaim which became the highest grossing Panamanian film. With this it was proved that in Panama it was possible to make films which pushed the production of several Panamanian films. It was not until 2014 that Panama began to select films to participate in the Oscar for Best Foreign Language Film.
Here is the list of Panamanian films that have represented the country at the Oscars.
Note: "Caja 25" (Box 25) was selected in 2015 but did not appear in the official list of the Academy (for reasons that I do not know) so I do not include it in the list.

Spain is the third country with more nominations and wins at the Oscars for Best Foreign Language Film. It is a country that has an extraordinary group of directors, actors and actresses, but since Mar Adentro won, it has not been nominated again. Maybe due to lack of luck, strong competition or just not choosing the indicated movie. Here are the films that represented Spain after Mar Adentro and that were not nominated.
Note: Dolor y Gloria (Pain and Glory) is the first Spanish film to be nominated for an Oscar as Best International Film (formerly Best Foreign Language Film) in fifteen years. It was also nominated for Best Actor (Antonio Banderas)
