- A new version of the popular love story of Heer (Sridevi) and Deedho (Anil Kapoor), who calls himself Ranjha after leaving home and living incognito in Heer's village as a labourer in her father's (Shammi Kapoor) house. Heer and Deedho were childhood sweethearts, separated because of family animosities which have grown over the years, kept on the boil by Kaheda (Anupam Kher), whose leg was irreparably fractured by Deedho's family and friends.

- Ram and Avtar are both childhood best friends. The difference between the two friends is that Ram would willingly make priceless sacrifice for his friend; the time when both are separated is when Ram goes abroad to further his studies. In the mean while Avtar takes up employment in an organization run by Sangeeta. - Johny, Govinda, and Iqbal Ali are three close friends who live in a small community in Bombay. The threesome get together to help each other and other needy people in the community, and hence get in the bad books of a local gangster who calls himself DK. Tragedy strikes Govinda, when his mom passes away. At the time of the funeral, Govinda is re-united with his dad, Advocate Verma, who has been missing for years. Then a police inspector gets Johny to meet his biological mother, Mary. The three friends rejoice over this good fortune. Then Johny finds out that Advocate Verma was behind the atrocities that were inflicted on his mom years ago, and he goes there to confront Verma, only to come against an enraged Govinda, who cannot believe his father is capable of committing any atrocities against anyone. It is now up to Iqbal to find a solution to end the enmity between Govinda and Johny, before DK takes advantage of this situation.
- Bhavna is a story of a less privileged women. A lady who was living all alone in the city met a man named Ajay Kapoor in a garden, sketching. They became friends and later on friendship turned into love. Eventually they got married, however, Kapor's dad had not granted permission for this marriage. After bearing a financial crises, Ajay went to see his dad who was residing in another city. Ajay never came back to Bhavna. Bhavna went to that city and was astonished to see that Ajay married another women. Dejected Bhanva came back and started a new job. But this was not the end of the story.

- Based on the ill-fated love story of Laila and Majnu, this version shows them as inseparable childhood sweethearts, and subsequently as each others lovers. They want to get married, but as their fathers' (Emir E Basra, and Emir E Yemen respectively) are sworn enemies of each other, they are not permitted to see other, leave alone get married. Separated from each other, they long and pine for each other. Kais (Majnu's real name) has forsaken everything and roams the streets with a beggars bowl, looking all over for his Laila. He finds her and their romance is rekindled. The authorities find Kais' longing for Laila unusual as he values her love above that of Allah, he is declared insane, and people are encouraged to stone him to death. He survives and Kais' dad and mom fall at the feet of Laila's dad and beg him to permit this marriage = he reluctantly agrees - on the condition that Kais undergo a test to prove that he is not insane. Kais fails in the test, and Laila's marriage is arranged with Shehzada Ingne Salaam, who has offered Emir E Basra enough wealth to last them for centuries and generations to come. Will Laila give her consent for this marriage? What will Kais do under these circumstances?
- Womazing and alcoholic Rajiv Tandon lives a wealthy lifestyle with his widowed industrialist dad, Shankardayal in a palatial house. When his dad unexpectedly passes away, he wills that all his wealth and money will only be inherited by Rajiv after he gets birth to a son within 18 months of his passing. Rajiv is not interested in marriage, nor in any permanent relationship with any woman, and is prepared to re-distribute his dad's wealth amongst their relatives. When he takes note of their greed, he decides to give birth to a heir as per his dad's wishes. Rajiv accepts, even though Aarti's profession is that of a call-girl and escort. He arranges for her in live in comfort, has a car and servants for her disposal. Soon she gets pregnant. Shortly before giving birth, she writes to Rajiv, breaking off their understanding, and leaving for an unknown destination. The question is, with her gone, so is the avenue to Rajiv's inheritance, and the easy and selfish life he has been accustomed to.
- Advocate Anjali had been betrayed in love, and as a result has become an embittered woman, hating all men.
