Lucy's worldview and progressive ways often clash with the simple and very conservative society of Wilkowyje, but in time she earns much respect, leading her to become the new mayor of the town. She also helps Kusy to reassemble his life, quit drinking and get back to his art career, and the two soon fell in love and start a relationship.

- The story takes place in a small Uroczysko near Wroclaw, where "Santa Claus" - Mikolaj Bialach's bar is located. Independent and intimidating Bialach, he will become the real sheriff of Uroczysko, coming into conflict with the most important person in the area - Krzysztof Kordas, the owner of a cold cuts processing plant. Nothing happens in the village without the knowledge and consent of Kordas, and nobody dares to mess with him, especially since the last village leader went missing in unexplained circumstances. There is only one person at whom the businessman shaking the area softens like a wax - this is his spoiled and entertaining 19-year-old daughter Luiza.
