When the law nabs Suraj he is imprisoned and shortly after he is released he continue his trade mark with Pasha; Suraj meets and fall in love with Aarti who convinces him to give up crime which he does. When Suraj begins to earn money by the most honest means he finds himself arrested by inspector Vijay who also loves Aarti; while Pasha has also ordered Suraj's death.

- Daulat Singh and Bhairav Singh are bandits in India and live a violent lifestyle. Daulat is married to Shanta and has two children, Vijay and Geeta. One Diwali he accidentally kills a man, leaving behind a son and his mother almost destitute. Moved by their plight, he surrenders to the Police, is arrested, tried in Court, and sentenced to life in prison. Whatever money he earns in prison, he sends it to the widow and her son. Due to his good conduct, he is discharged after several years and returns home to his now grown-up Forest Officer son, and matured daughter. The village welcomes him back and also honors him. He meets with the local Thakur and arranges Vijay's marriage with his daughter, Gauri, who love each other. Inspector Prakash, Vijay's friend, has fallen in love with Geeta and Daulat is more than happy to get them married also. Geeta's marriage is arranged, but on that the day of the wedding, Prakash's mother recognizes Daulat as the man who killed her husband, and decides to cancel the wedding. An enraged Thakur also breaks off Gauri's marriage with Vijay, and decides to get her married to Bankelal. When Gauri objects to this marriage, Banke has Vijay abducted and forces Gauri to marry him, but Vijay manages to escape, kills Banke and joins forces with Bhairav Singh and other bandits. He exacts vengeance on Pyarelal by killing him thus pitting himself against his very own father, who disowns him, as well as Prakash who decides to entrap him on Raksabandhan albeit in vain. Prakash's mother has a change of heart when she finds out that Daulat has been providing for her financially all these years, and agrees to accept Geeta as her daughter-in-law. But before the marriage could take place, she angrily approaches Daulat and tells him that the wedding is canceled again - this time because Vijay has abducted Prakash. Watch what impact this has on Daulat, Geeta, Shanta, and the rest of the village.
- Poverty and hunger forces young Shankar to take up employment as a mechanic. One day Shakka experiences a change of heart when he is asked to abducted a small child which results in the death of the mother; he turns himself into the police, the case is tried in court and Shakka is sentenced to five years imprisonment but because he save the life of a Minister his sentence is reduced to three years. When Shakka is released from jail he decides to give up his criminal ways, marry Aarti, buys a garage to earn his living and is the proud father of a baby boy Vicky alias Munna. But Raja Babu is not willing to let Shankar just walk away like that.

As this mystery deepens, the Police want to question Raj about the two deaths - while Raj himself keeps on getting deeper and deeper in a mystery that may well end up taking his very own life.

With Prabha and John's help he gathers enough evidence to arrest Dharam little knowing that Prabha has a secret she kept from him - namely that she was in love with Dharam's goon, Mahesh, who is secretly blackmailing her and now wants her to hand over all evidence to him.
- Widowed Judge Kedarnath Sinha lives a comfortable life with two sons, CBI Inspector Vijay and college student Sonu. Vijay is aware of the terrible tragedy that marked his 5th-birthday celebration: the party was interrupted by vengeful escaped convict Billa, who killed DCP Ravi Khanna, cut off Kedarnath's right hand, and abducted and brutally assaulted and raped Sharda Khanna. Sonu doesn't come to know about this until well after his 25th birthday, when Kedarnath tells him that he is Sharda's and Billa's son. Shocked and devastated, Sonu accepts this reality and leaves the Sinha household. Shortly thereafter, he is wanted by the Police for helping dreaded killer Kaalia escape from prison. What Kedarnath and Vijay do not know is that Sonu helped Kaalia in order to reach Billa, but instead meets with Dagha, becomes his hit-man, and accepts a contract to kill Dagha's former associate Shakaal and retrieve a videotape titled "Marte Dam Tak". What is recorded in that video-tape is not that film, but something that will change Sonu's life forever and make him an enemy of the law, with Vijay hot on his trail.
- Brijesh is an airline pilot. While on duty one day, he comes across some men who are smugglers, and after a short tussle with them, he hands them over to the police. A lipstick containing a deadly secret is left on Brijesh's person, which he unknowingly takes home. He lives with his blind sister, Reshma. Reshma is not really his sister by birth, for he had rescued her when she was being molested. The gangsters find out that the lipstick is in Brijesh's house, and Reshma alone at home, and they sent their operatives to locate the lipstick and if necessary kill Reshma. How is Reshma going to defend herself, when she cannot see the person(s) who have found their way inside, and will do anything to obtain what they have come for. The Mohammeda Rafi song "Ish Desh ke socho kya hoga, ab hum kaise batlayen, jab apne hi gharwale, apne dushman ban jayen..." continues to be banned by India's Government-owned media.
- Shanti belongs to a poor family, and lives in small dwelling with three sons, Amar, Ashok, and Vinod, and two daughters, Sheela and Shobha.
