- A journey through Italian landscapes as seen through the windows of several long-distance express trains.
- Burundi is among the poorest nations in the world. From the 1990s to the early 2000s, the country experienced an ethnically motivated civil war that left 300,000 dead. In 2005, President Pierre Nkurunziza, a former rebel leader, came to power and overtime began to rule with increasingly authoritarian methods. In 2015, his re-election for a third term, which was not provided for in the constitution, fueled protests, during which there was an attempted coup. The government unleashed an extremely harsh crackdown, resulting in hundreds of deaths and refugees.
