- The story was set during World War II when the Japanese Empire sent troops to Siam (Thailand) as part of their greater plan. Kobori, an idealistic Japanese officer, set up a base camp by the Chaophraya River, which is in the area of Angsumalin's house. He falls for her at first sight. Angsumalin, a proud Thai who despises every kind of threat to her country, sees him as part of the Japanese Empire, that deserves only hatred. When they first meet she hates his guts. Despite his duty, Kobori wants to believe that his love will be able to find its way into her heart. They are forced to get married to calm and create a treaty between their lands, but as time goes by, Angsumalin finds herself falling for him, though she denies it. - Kongpop's dad and Namnueng's dad used to be a good friends. They even invested their own money in a pub business together. He got the excellent idea from his best friend who was also his personal lawyer, to make Namnueng love him, marry him and agree to sign the paper to give up her right on her own property and money by not telling her the truth about the will. So Namnueng fell in love with him, they married, she signed the paper unaware of his intentions but just a minute after she signed it, she found out the truth. Namnueng was disappointed, heartbroken and angry, because everything he did and said to her was a lie. At that moment, Kongpop realized that he felt no joy or happiness and was also heartbroken... he was so blind about the money that he didn't realize he fell in love with her. Namnueng tried whatever it takes for him to give her the divorce, while he did whatever it takes to get her heart back.

Nampetch is an obedient and respectable young woman who holds high regards for her mother unlike Kaewkao, Pikul's birth daughter. Kaewkao grows up to be a spoiled little brat and her paternal grandmother's favorite grandchild. One day Nampetch helps Lada from getting stab by a robber who is Pikul's husband. From this Pikul and Nampetch receive a job from Lada and move into Lada's house and is taken in as servants. Cheewin, Kaewkao's boyfriend, sees Nampetch and falls for her instantly. Kaewkao notices that Cheewin secretly likes Nampetch and becomes extremely jealous of her so this starts to cause chaos in the house. It then becomes apparent that Kaewkao may not be Lada's daughter and so the race is on to figure out the truth and for Cheewin to fight hard for Nampetch's love.
