- DirectorHerbert WiseStarsAdrian RawlinsBernard HeptonDavid DakerA lawyer travels to a small seaside town to settle the estate of a recently deceased woman, but soon becomes ensnared in something much more sinister.Currently being remade for the big screen, this production terrified me as a child but it's almost impossible to get hold of a copy these days.

- DirectorJohn CrowleyStarsAndrew GarfieldPeter MullanShaun EvansThe story of a young Jack, newly released from serving a prison sentence for a violent crime he committed as a child.Dealing with a really interesting subject matter, very thought provoking and superbly played by Andrew Garfield.
- StarsAndrew EllisAndrew ShimChanel CresswellShaun has just finished his final exams and he realizes he is no longer a kid. It's mid 80's England, and the gang are back, looking for a laugh, a job and something that resembles a future.A follow on from Shane Meadows earlier film. Whilst having moments of absolute hillarity from it's stand out characters this is harrowing, as you'd expect. It's still fantastic though, a must see.
- CreatorPaul AbbottStarsJohn SimmJim BroadbentOlivia ColmanA father and son story, with a thriller motor. It explores a mystery from the past with a brutal and shocking revelation.Although I rate and admire John Simm it's Jim Broadbent's performance that really makes this drama what it is. The story itself is a little disappointing but the overall themes are well handled and interesting enough to sustain it.

A local shopkeeper tries to help her through these trying times, but to no avail. The police arrest Chris' friend Ryan McGuinness (Roland Manookian), after they learn Chris may have spent the night with Ryan's girlfriend, but Chris also had a testy relationship with his brother-in-law. The Good Samaritan who found Chris bloodied and beaten on the sidewalk agrees to participate in a reconstruction of the crime. In the end, a simple slip of the tongue reveals the identity of the killer and then the motive for the murder.
- DirectorEdmund CoulthardStarsChristopher EcclestonChristopher FairbankAllan CordunerA profile of John Lennon in the late 1960s as the Beatles are set to fall apart.
- CreatorBen CourtCaroline IpStarsRupert Penry-JonesPhil DavisSteve PembertonA fast-tracked inspector, a hardened detective sergeant, and an expert in historical homicides investigate modern crimes with connections to the past in the Whitechapel district of London. The first series was very good. I didn't take to the second, however, and didn't really feel there was much call for it. This should have been left as a stand alone about a Jack the Ripper copy cat, all that Krays stuff was nonsense. Rupert Penry-Jones is fantastic though, and Steve Pemberton is as creepy as ever.

- DirectorTim FywellStarsMichelle DockeryEva SayerJosef LindsayA naive and sexually repressed young governess is haunted by the ghosts of previous occupants of a mansion. This most recent adaption is not the best I've come across but it holds it's own none the less. With such strong story you could hardly go wrong but the casting here is particularly good.
- DirectorJonathan MillerStarsMichael HordernAmbrose CoghillGeorge WoodbridgeClassic BBC adaptation of an equally classic ghost story about a skeptical professor on vacation in Norfolk who finds a cursed whistle.
