In January 2013 it was announced that she was cast as the witch Sophie for season 4 episode 20 of The CW's hit series The Vampire Diaries. This episode serves as a backdoor pilot for a possible spin-off series, revolving around The Originals and taking place in the French Quarter of New Orleans.
Season one of The Originals was set to premiere on Tuesday, October 15. However, on July 29, 2013, The CW announced that the series premiere would instead air on October 3, 2013, following the fifth-season premiere of The Vampire Diaries in order to attract fans of the series. Sophia Bush has captured film and television audiences with her range of roles and diverse characters She was born on July 8, 1982, in Pasadena, California, and is an only child. Her father, Charles William Bush, is a renowned advertising and celebrity photographer, and her mother, Maureen E. (Searson) Bush, runs a photography studio.
Growing up in Pasadena, Sophia made her acting debut there in a school theater production while attending Westridge School for Girls, a small private school. She was crowned Queen of the Royal Court for the 2000 Tournament of Roses and graduated from high school that same year. In 2002, Sophia made her screen debut as Sally, a college student, in the comedy Van Wilder (2002), opposite Ryan Reynolds. Shannon Elizabeth was born in Houston, Texas, the daughter of a Syrian/Lebanese father. When Shannon was in 3rd grade, her family moved to Waco, Texas, to be close to relatives. As a girl, Shannon took dance lessons, including tap, ballet, and jazz. While attending high school, however, she was very interested in tennis. She even considered going pro and making tennis her life. During high school, she was active in cheerleading, dance team, and the student council. As a senior, Shannon was in a music video shot in Waco. The local music artists were called "Hi-5", and the director of that video just happened to be Antoine Fuqua. After graduating, Shannon moved to New York City to model. She then traveled all over the world with her newfound career to places that included Japan, Italy, France, and Australia. After moving to Los Angeles years later, she signed on with Ford Models and, eventually, Elite. Shannon had always wanted to start her acting career and had just modeled in hopes that it could help lead her into acting, which it did. About a year after moving to Los Angeles, she started taking acting classes with several different coaches. Madelyn Deutch is a writer, actor, director, and musician from Los Angeles, California.
Beginning as a singer, she spent a large part of her childhood performing on stage in charity events. This prompted her admission into the Los Angeles County High School for the Arts where she began writing her own music and participating in institutions like the Grammy Ensemble, the Monterey Jazz Festival, and winning the esteemed Silver Award from the National Foundation for the Advancement of the Arts.
Upon graduation she was offered a scholarship to attend The New School for Jazz and Contemporary Music, with a concentration in voice. However, once in university, she immediately turned her attention to filmmaking and composing. She graduated with honors and went on to act in independent films such as "50-1" and "Windsor", and television like History mini series "Texas Rising" and Cinemax's "Outcast."
Throughout this time she raised funds for her first feature as a screenwriter "The Year of Spectacular Men." The film was shot in late 2015, with Madelyn playing the lead role and also composing the musical score. Sarah Scott is an actress and intimacy coordinator. She was born in Lincoln, Nebraska and grew up in North Texas. Scott graduated from New York University in 2002 with a degree in Culture & Communications and a minor in Ballet. Early years were spent acting in fringe theatres around New York City, an internship with New Line Cinema, and completing the Shakespearean Studies program at the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art in London before moving to Los Angeles to pursue acting professionally.
Scott first appeared on television in a featured part on Fox's Arrested Development (2003). She quickly became popular in the commercial and dance worlds, booking iconic ads like the dancing iPod silhouettes and getting cast to play showgirls, hip-hop divas and groupies on programs including CSI: NY (2004), True Blood (2008), Nip/Tuck (2003), Castle (2009), Bones (2005), Masters of Sex (2013), and The Orville (2017). Scott's most notable performance to date is her haunting portrayal of Courtney Love in Soaked in Bleach (2015). In 2018 Scott became an active member of the entertainment community helping to raise awareness about sexual harassment and began to work with her labor union, SAG-AFTRA, on making contractual changes to better protect it's members. In 2019 Scott became certified as intimacy coordinator through the Intimacy Professionals Association and since then her work has taken off in the emerging field.
