- DirectorGiovanni PastroneStarsItalia Almirante-ManziniLidia QuarantaBartolomeo PaganoCabiria is a Roman child when her home is destroyed by a volcano. Sold in Carthage to be sacrificed in a temple, she is saved by Fulvio, a Roman spy. But danger lurks, and hatred between Rome and Carthage can only lead to war. "The impact of Cabiria on audiences in Europe and America in 1914 is difficult to imagine now, for this extraordinarily long and spectacular movie was often shown with the accompaniment of a large chorus and orchestra." (Solomon 2001, s. 48).
- DirectorDomenico GaidoStarsSuzanne De LabroyMario Guaita-AusoniaCristina RuspoliThe story relates how Salambo, daughter of Amilcar, ruler of Carthage, and Priestess of Tanit, is the keeper of the Sacred Veil "on which human eyes must not gaze." She falls in love with Matho, a slave, who becomes the leader of a band of mercenaries, fighting for Carthage against Rome. Matho steals the sacred veil and Salambo is ordered by the priests to reclaim it. The lovers meet in Matho's tent and Salambo recovers the sacred veil. Matho is made a prisoner by the Carthaginians through the treachery of Narr Havas, who is rewarded by Amilcar for his treachery by the hand of his daughter, Salambo. Matho escapes from prison and death, and the Oracle of Tanit is made to declare, by the instrumentality of Spendius, Matho's faithful slave, that Matho is acceptable to the God and one day shall govern Carthage. Salambo, who has protested against her marriage to Narr Havas, whom she does not love, is thereupon given by Amilcar, her father, to Matho and the marriage ceremony is celebrated with much pomp.
- DirectorCarmine GalloneStarsAnnibale NinchiCamillo PilottoFosco GiachettiA story of the Second Punic Wars, beginning with Scipio's futile pleas to the Roman Senate to build an army to battle Hannibal, that climaxes with the battle of Zama.
- DirectorSergio GriecoStarsJeanne ValérieJacques SernasEdmund PurdomDuring the 3rd century B.C. a horde of barbarians are hired by the Phoenian city of Carthage to fight against the Roman empire, but when the city's ruler is unable to fulfill the promised payment made to the mercenaries, they attack the African settlement, where Salammbô --the king's daughter and high priestess of goddess Tanit- tries to settle the matter when the Barbarian leader who has fallen for her steals the sacred veil of Carthage from the temple, without taking into account the evil schemes of a powerful member of the council of wise men.
- DirectorPietro FrancisciStarsRossano BrazziTina LouiseSylva KoscinaDuring the Second Punic War between 214 and 212 B.C. occurred this history of the Roman siege in Greek city of Syracuse. The Romans were preparing for their invasion while Archimedes invents what looks like a satellite dish that reflects the sun's rays and produces a powerful beam of light, strong enough to burn the Roman fleet.

- DirectorCarlo Ludovico BragagliaEdgar G. UlmerStarsVictor MatureGabriele FerzettiRita GamDuring the Second Punic War in 218 BC, Carthaginian general Hannibal attacks the Roman Republic by crossing the Pyrenees and the Alps with his vast army. Regi Edgar G. Ulmer and Carlo Ludovico Bragaglia. Solomon vurderer filmen slik: "The broad location shots are impressive: infinitely long lines of furbundled soldiers struggle against the blurred, white mountainsides. We see four or five elephants in close-ups, and an irritating corporal keeps hollering "Keep going" to the numbed Carthagenians and Numidian mercenaries." (Solomon 2001, s. 49). Til tross for dette er Solomons dom, som min, at dette er mer tungt fordøyelig enn fornøyelig.
- DirectorEdward BazalgetteStarsAlexander SiddigEmilio DoorgasinghBashar RahalIt is 200 years before the birth of Christ and Rome is the new superpower of the ancient world. She believes she is invincible - but one man is destined to change that. He is a man bound by oath to avenge the wrongs inflicted on his home and, in pursuit of revenge, he will stop at nothing. Hannibal explores the man behind the myth, revealing what drove the 26-year-old to mastermind one of the most audacious military moves in history. With 40,000 soldiers and 37 elephants, he marched 1,500 miles to challenge his enemies on their own soil. It was an act so daring that few people believed it possible. Hannibal combines drama, the latest historical research and state-of-the-art CGI to bring this spectacular story to life.
