Exclusive: Chudor House Productions and Artist International Group are teaming on a series adaptation of Truth is a Flightless Bird, the internationally bestselling crime novel from Akbar Hussain.

One mansion, one game, and one survivor. Short and simple! Well, sometimes a film needs to have at least some kind of depth to engage and entertain. Dangerous Game: The Legacy Murders is one of the worst films I have seen in recent times that has some pretty good actors in it. This film must’ve given Jonathan Rhys Meyers a knack for playing Jon Voight’s son, as the two returned as another father-son duo in this year’s Mercy. Dangerous Game: The Legacy Murders is Saw meets Ready or Not but doesn’t have the depth of those films—in any department that is—and is made purely as a mindless entertainer that might play on while friends at a sleepover try to figure out what else to watch. The gore in this movie is so out of place that it doesn’t work, and the laughable performances actually sadden me,...

We knew it from “Crimes and Misdemeanors,” a drama that was shocking when it came out in 1989 — and if you see it today, it’s still shocking, because the theme of the movie isn’t just that ordinary people commit murder (we see that in movies every day). It’s that they seem disturbingly ordinary even as they’re doing it, which is a bit scary. Martin Landau, as a mild bourgeois ophthalmologist who hires someone to kill off his mistress, seemed to be playing the squirmy essence of every amateur criminal, and the fact that he got away with it was the unsettling part. It made you think: How many people like that are out there?...

Determining what the sexiest sport is at any given time may come down to the players themselves instead of what happens on the pitch, on the field, or on the court. In Luca Guadagnino's upcoming seductive drama "Challengers," stars Zendaya, Mike Faist ("West Side Story"), and Josh O'Connor ("The Crown") bring their undeniable chemistry to the world of tennis to help add a little spice to a game that prides itself on tradition and sportsmanship. Judging by the playful seduction going on in the trailer, what happens on the baseline looks to be a lot less important than what's going down in the bedroom.
As a rising star that looks poised for greatness and grand slam success, Zendaya's character Tashi has all eyes on her, including the attention of two suitors looking to take the competition to the next level. For passionate tennis fans (myself included), Tashi could be...

Pavan Grover, a writer and producer on the recent action thriller “97 Minutes” starring Alec Baldwin, has spoken out about standing firm with the star in the aftermath of “Rust.”
Grover, a Houston-based spinal surgeon with a passion for cinema, debuted as a writer in 2002 with “Unspeakable” starring Dennis Hopper, and served as a producer on “Odd Thomas” (2013), based on Dean Koontz’s novel and directed by Stephen Sommers (“The Mummy”).
Grover pitched the idea of “97 Minutes” — a ticking-clock thriller in which a hijacked airplane has 97 minutes before it runs out of fuel — when he met Baldwin serendipitously at Sundance in early 2021. Once Baldwin was attached, the project raised coin via presales, distribution and American and international debt financing, based on the actor’s value in those markets.

Baldwin plays an Nsa director with a dilemma: shoot down the plane hijacked by a quasi-Slavic terrorist cell, killing its passengers, or let it reach New York
There is something deeply irksome about this film: it’s called 97 Minutes and yet is, in fact, roughly 93 minutes long. Not that making it longer would have improved it particularly, but ensuring it unfolded in real time would have slightly enhanced, at least in formal terms, an otherwise decent but nondescript action thriller. In this film’s world, the clock starts ticking when a vaguely defined quasi-Slavic terrorist cell hijack a plane bound for JFK over the Atlantic Ocean. During the tussle for control, the pilot is seriously injured, the co-pilot killed, and the fuselage pierced by a couple of bullets from 3D-printed guns, creating an unstable altitude-pressure situation.

What’s it like to play Dracula? And Henry VIII and Elvis? And play tennis for Woody Allen? Only one man can say, and he’s waiting to tell all about his versatile career
Jonathan Rhys Meyers has played everyone from Elvis (in 2005 miniseries Elvis) to Dracula (in 2013 TV series Dracula) and Henry VIII in The Tudors (the latter earning him two Golden Globe nominations.) On film, he’s helped out Tom Cruise in Mission: Impossible III, played bisexual glam rocker Brian Slade in Velvet Goldmine and, of course, coached football to Keira Knightley and Parminder Nagra in Bend It Like Beckham. And let’s not forget Woody Allen’s Match Point, in which he plays social climbing tennis pro Chris Wilton who has the hots for Scarlett Johansson.

Directed by Timo Vuorensola and starring Jonathan Rhys Meyers and Alec Baldwin, “97 Minutes” raises a difficult moral dilemma: is it worth sacrificing an entire plane of innocent people to save the lives of thousands? The movie takes us on an entertaining ride of action, suspense, and tension aboard a 767.
Original? Not really, but it’s a decent watch for a lazy afternoon and easily forgettable the next day.
Storyline
A hijacked 767 will crash in just 97 minutes when it runs out of fuel. Against the strong will of Toyin, the Nsa’s deputy, Director Hawkins prepares to shoot down the plane before it causes catastrophic damage on the ground, leaving the fate of the innocent passengers in the hands of Tyler, one of the supposed hijackers on board, who is an undercover Interpol agent. . or is he?

Snakes on a Plane, Air Force One, and Red Eye are a few classics that have one thing in common. The major plot of the film transpires in an airplane several thousand feet above the ground. Flight movies are a sub-genre of thriller movies, and 97 Minutes, the new movie by Timo Vuorensola starring Jonathan Rhys Meyers and Alec Baldwin, is another addition to that entertaining list.
The story of the film revolves around the hijacking of Oceanic Flight 420, which only has 97 minutes of fuel left. The hijackers are unaware that they have an Interpol agent in their gang. Nsa Director Hawkins and his team try to exploit this fact to save the lives of the people on the plane as well as avoid a possible nuclear holocaust.
Spoilers Ahead

The Vietnam War is a glaring black spot on the timeline of American history. The monstrous stupidity of going to war against a country so far away and an enemy so foreign is multiplied innumerable times when you consider the fact that the lives of so many promising young men were lost, all for abstract ideological supremacy. Mark Burman’s film Ambush echoes exactly this sentiment, all the while emphasizing the brutal hierarchy that emerges during wartime and the consequent devaluation of human lives. Starring Aaron Eckhart, Jonathan Rhys Meyers, and Connor Paolo, Ambush is set in 1966 Vietnam, where, after the Viet Cong attack an American camp and get hold of a top-secret binder, a group of young, expendable engineers is sent into an underground tunnel system to retrieve the document within a window of two hours.

Mercy, directed by Tony Dean Smith and written by Alex Right, revolves around the life of Afghan war veteran Dr. Michelle Miller, who comes face-to-face with the dreaded Quinn gang while treating Ryan Quinn, the younger brother of the gang’s livewire Sean Quinn. Mercy is a total genre flick, reveling in the cool moments expected from a slick action thriller. The characters are set up pretty quickly without dabbling in too much exposition. The plot can remind one of Die Hard, revamped with a female action heroine. Dr. Michelle Miller, played by Leah Gibson, is a conscientious Afghan war veteran who takes on the Quinn gang after they come looking for Ryan, not knowing who they are up against. On the other side is Sean Quinn, played by Jonathan Rhys Meyers, who has his own issues with his family, which he hopes to sort out by taking out his brother Ryan.

It’s somewhat surprising that Scarlett Johansson had been making films for over a decade before she first walked the Cannes Film Festival red carpet. Match Point, her initial collaboration with Woody Allen, lured her to the Croisette in 2005.
Johansson took over the lead role in the psychological thriller after Kate Winslet had dropped out. She starred opposite Jonathan Rhys Meyers, who plays a tennis pro in a relationship with Chloe (Emily Mortimer) when he develops feelings for actress Nora (Johansson), who is engaged to his friend (Matthew Goode) who is also Chloe’s brother. THR’s review noted that Allen’s movie marked “the most startling departure in his filmmaking career,” despite his résumé including such serious fare as 1989’s Crimes and Misdemeanors. Ultimately, critic Kirk Honeycutt wrote, the film’s distinct lack of comedic repartee hindered its character development: “Match Point is a story designed more to prove...

"Can anyone please tell me where my son is being kept?" Paramount has unveiled an official trailer a crime thriller titled Mercy, the latest film from a Vancouver-based filmmaker named Tony Dean Smith. This will be out in theaters along with a digital debut in May not long from now. Leah Gibson stars with Jonathan Rhys Meyers and Jon Voight in this action thriller. An ex-military doctor finds herself in a deadly battle for survival when the Irish mafia seize control of the hospital she's working at. She is forced to rely upon her battle-hardened past and lethal skills after realizing there's no one left to save the day but her. This has an obvious Die Hard-in-a-hospital setup, but switching things up with Leah Gibson as the McClane character with special action skills who has to take out all the bad guys in this one building. Also featuring Sebastien Roberts,...

"Bend It Like Beckham" may be a classic sports film, but Keira Knightley says that people initially warned her about doing it. During the "Boston Strangler" star's appearance on "The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon" on March 15, host Jimmy Fallon mentioned that the 20th anniversary of the US release of the movie was this year. He asked Knightley if she always expected the movie, directed by Gurinder Chadha, to become iconic and beloved, to which she replied, "No. No, no, I mean, I literally remember telling people that I was doing it, and saying, you know, it's called 'Bend It Like Beckham,'' and them going, 'Oh, that's really embarrassing.'"
"Yeah, yeah, no, they were all like, 'Don't worry. Nobody will see it, it's fine,'" she continued. "But it was the idea of it, because you know women's soccer was not as big back then," Knightley added.
