- P. Bhaskaran was born on April 21, 1924 in Cranganur, Kerala, India. He was a director and producer, known for Rakkuyil (1973), Bhagya Jathakam (1962) and Tharavattamma (1966). He died on February 25, 2007 in Thiruvananthapuram, Kerala, India.
- P. Bhaskaran started to write songs for communist stage performers. His songs were banned in the (then) State of Travancore.

- He penned more than 3000 songs for about 250 films.
