Exclusive: FX Productions has signed a two-year overall production deal with writer-producer David Manson and his production company Sarabande Prods. Under the pact, Peabody Award-winning Manson will develop, write and produce series for FX Networks. The pact stems from Manson and FX’s recent collaboration on the network’s drama series pilot Hoke starring Paul Giamatti. Manson serves as executive producer on the project, from writer/executive producer/director Scott Frank, which just wrapped production. Manson first worked with FX on the limited series Thief, which won star Andre Braugher an Emmy. “David is an incredibly talented writer-producer and highly respected in the creative community,” said FX Networks and FX Prods President Nick Grad. “It’s great to have him under the Fxp umbrella, and we expect to announce some projects with him very soon.” Related: Louis Ck Inks Overall Deal With FX Productions For New Series CAA-repped Manson served...

Looks like Queen Bey's got some dissenters when it comes to her latest 'do! Beyoncé made headlines when she swapped her long locks for a pretty pixie cut last month, and again shortly thereafter when she added a bit of length for a wavy bob. Being the trendsetter that she is, it wouldn't be too far-fetched to assume lots of gals would follow suit and chop their hair, right? Not according to celebrity hairstylist Adam Reed, who thinks those who copy the singer's sassy cut will only end up looking sadly out of style. "I am afraid that, although I think that it suits Beyoncé, that type of long bob is a bit dated," the hair guru told...

The three girls on Lifetime's newest reality series seem like most typical teens, sweet and angling to be older. They are curious about boys, sometimes acting on that, which explains why one is already a mom. One cites "porno star" as an enticing career, and one asks her older sister explicit questions about sex.
These girls and their families are featured in "Preachers' Daughters," premiering Tuesday, March 12. Though this sounds salacious, the nine episodes are a cinema verite of family life, not a "Girls Gone Wild" video.
That's to the credit of executive producer Adam Reed, whose company was behind "Hatfields & McCoys."
"This is real life of what preachers' families deal with day in and day out, and there are many positives and negatives that come with that," Reed tells Zap2it. "And we are very, very diligent about not having an agenda to say if it were positive or negative.
