Someone on the writing team for the seventh episode of NCIS Sydney must have said something pertaining to the idea of breathlessness, which is why the episode not only has ‘breathlessness’ in the plot quite literally but also has no real resting points to give us a ‘breather’. One of the best episodes of the season so far, it reunited the NCIS Team with one offender that they had not been able to catch previously. The episode begins by showing us a dead body, which is a normal thing for the show to do, but later it does something very unusual, showing us the officers in their party’s best avatars. The girls, Mackey, Evie, and Blue, get to attend an interesting event while DeShawn and Jim go solve the case. But everything is interconnected. It turns out that the boys will have to save the girls, and the girls...

Exclusive: Former ABC chief Paul Lee’s independent studio wiip is developing a TV series exploring the teenage years of Agatha Christie, the iconic British crime writer behind genre-defining characters including Hercule Poirot and Miss Marple.
Wiip has enlisted UK writers Rebecca Pollock and Kas Graham, who penned Ruth Wilson feature The Book Of Ruth, to work up the series, which will tell the story of how a precocious teenager mourning her father’s death became one of the most prolific and beloved mystery novelists of all time.
Set in the early 1900s in Devon, England, Pollock and Graham are planning on writing an action-packed drama, which will be titled Young Agatha. They said it would be a “dynamic and supercharged coming-of-age story” that would offer an “empowering and adventurous take on how she became the greatest mystery writer in history.”
The writing duo’s other credits include 2019 script Betty Ford,...

Jake Tapper, the Washington-based correspondent for CNN, will likely get a new spotlight at the network after it said it would expand his weekday program to two hours and make him the lead anchor for all Washington events. The move is part of a broader shakeup of the cable-news outlet’s Washington coverage, which has taken over more of its schedule in the last few months of the Trump administration.
As part of the changes, Abby Phillip will take over as anchor of the weekend broadcast of “Inside Politics,” while Dana Bash will co-anchor the Sunday talk program “State of the Union” with Tapper. Tapper and Bash will each anchor two Sundays a month, beginning January 24th.
CNN placed other prominent Washington operatives in new slots. Jim Acosta, whose profile has grown as CNN’s chief White House correspondent, will take on weekend anchoring duties of a program that will...

Congress will count the 2020 Electoral College votes on Wednesday to confirm President-elect Joe Biden’s presidential victory in a joint session beginning at 1 p.m. Et/10 a.m. Pt in the House of Representatives.
The final (and usually pro-forma) step in the Potus certification process, today’s count is expected to verify the votes electors cast back in December that gave Biden a 306-232 win in the Electoral College, a month after Biden won the popular vote in the general election. The margin of victory is the same in which now-President Donald Trump declared victory in 2016.
Trump and many GOP members of Congress have disputed the results of the this year’s presidential election, though dozens of attempts to overturn results in both state and federal courts (and two in the U.S. Supreme Court) have failed. Trump continues to press on with unfounded claims that the election was stolen from him,...

In normal times, the certification by Congress of electoral votes for president would be, at best, a nominal news event. But these aren’t normal times.
On Wednesday, Congress is expected to complete the final step in making Joe Biden’s election official. But with some Republican lawmakers signaling that they will bow to public pressure from President Donald Trump to upend the electoral-college certification — a process rarely infused with drama and described by the Constitution as a fairly routine counting exercise — television-news is gearing up for event coverage.
MSNBC will kick off its coverage at 9 a.m. Et with Stephanie Ruhle on “MSNBC Live”; Hallie Jackson will then take over as anchor for two hours of special coverage from Washington, D.C., beginning at 10 a.m. Et. At noon Et, coverage will be taken over by Chuck Todd and Andrea Mitchell in Washington, D.C., and Katy Tur in New York.

Katie Holmes and Suri are settling in to their new life in Manhattan. In the past week, they've visited a children's museum, treated themselves to ice cream and found time to visit Alice's Tea Cup - a popular NYC restaurant they've frequented in the past. "They come every few months," says an eyewitness to their latest visit. "They are very low maintenance. They were enjoying themselves." During their hour-long stay, Katie ordered a curried chicken salad and Suri had a grilled cheese sandwich, and both left the Upper East side restaurant with a special treat. Suri walked out with a...

I have been waiting for a good representation of We Need to Talk About Kevin to post and this UK movie trailer is it. It doesn’t give everything away from the book yet hints at the three acts of the film very cleverly through the editing.
