Well Go USA is releasing this direct-to-video survival thriller titled Escape, which is not the most original or interesting title. It's already available on VOD now after premiering last year. After being taken from an island resort by a criminal gang, ten young women hatch an escape plan through the deset as they fight for survival against their ruthless kidnappers. They're caught off-guard when some of the women break free and fight back. his trash action thriller film stars Sarah Alexandra Marks, Sophie Rankin, Sean Cronin, Angela Dixon, Glenn Salvage, Jon-Paul Gates, Ksenia Islamova, Megan Lockhurst, and Tiffany Hannam-Daniels. "I really wanted the film to be a total blast and an epic journey... It's outlandish and larger than life. The action & violence are visceral and the landscapes striking. When the women fight back, they fight back hard," the director explains. This really looks as terrible as any movie can - avoid at all costs.

Considering he has already released three films in 2023, writer/director Richard John Taylor continues his busy streak with this take on Alice In Wonderland. His latest work, Alice in Terrorland, opens on a house engulfed in fire while a terrified girl cowers in the corner. As the tragedy leaves Alice (Lizzie Willis) orphaned, she is sent to live with her estranged grandmother, Beth (Rula Lenska).
Arriving at their spacious family home, Alice is awestruck by the old building that is named Wonderland after Lewis Carroll’s iconic book. Beth shares a warning to stay out of the woods, although this does not stop her granddaughter from being terrorized by mysterious figures or disappearing down a horrific rabbit hole.
What kept Beth apart from her family for so long?...

"Oh god, we're not alone...!" Midnight Releasing has unveiled a new Us trailer for a lost British indie sci-fi film titled Invasion Earth, which first premiered on DVD in the UK back in 2016 with the alternate title Into the Light. It is finally getting an official Us release this year, which isn't a good sign. Famous self-help Guru, Dr. Carson, travels to his facility with eight young addicts with the aim of helping them through their troubles and integrating them back into society. A TV journalist tries to expose the group as a scam. However, all of their lives are thrown into chaos with the beginning of an alien invasion. Starring Charlotte Gould, Phoebe Delikoura, Tony Fadil, Jon-Paul Gates, Nigel Thijs, and David Shaw. As much as we enjoy featuring indie sci-fi, this looks awful. Not only is the concept bad, the footage looks so forgettable. Here's the official Us...

It’s October so it’s must be Halloween attraction-going time right? Well if the movies are anything to go by that’s definitely the case. The latest take on the Halloween scare attraction is literally that, a film called Scare Attraction, from British writer/director Steven M. Smith, who’s resume reads like a list of horror films to always avoid! Though to be fair to Smith his last direct to DVD title, The Haunting of Borley Rectory, seems to have found one hell of an audience in the UK, remaining on the official charts for what felt like and eternity

News on a new adaptation of Hedda Gabler, a new film about the Kray brothers, and more.
Aspect on board for Hedda Gabler
Aspect Film has taken on worldwide sales rights to Matthew John’s new period drama adaptation of Henrik Ibsen’s classic play Hedda Gabler, currently in post. Rita Ramnani [pictured] takes the lead role, with the cast also including Jon-Paul Gates, Samantha Hunt, David Butler and Francisco Ortiz. Aspect Film’s Managing Director, Hugh Edwards said, “Matthew John has tackled an Ibsen classic with aplomb. To do so as a debutant director and achieve what he has deserves credit. John has pushed the envelope and it will be interesting to see the reaction from both Ibsen purists and newcomers to the Hedda Gabler story alike.” The film was shot at Maunsel House in Somerset, owned by Sir Benjamin Slade, who also executive produces the film.
