- Honored in 1993 with a brass plaque on the Philadelphia Music Alliance's Walk of Fame on South Broad Street.
- In 1958, he hosted a live TV dance show on WNET Ch. 13 ( NYC/NJ ) It could have been best described as a 50s version of "Soul Train". His diversified guest list included Al Hibbler, Mickey and Sylvia, The Everly Brothers and Chuck Willis . . The teens on the show danced to "The Slop" a forerunner to " The Twist", as well as "The Stroll".
- A celebrated DJ, he emceed R n B revues in the 50s and 60s at such venues as New York's Apollo Theater and Philadelphia's Town Hall.
