- Public relations specialist, he worked for Molson, Ford Canada before becoming the Information and public relations chief for Montréal's Expo67 considered one the greatest international exhibitions of the XXth Century.
- For his work, he got the Gold Anvil Award from the Public Relations Society of America and was made honorary citizen of 'Montréal with his friend and colleague Philippe de Gaspé Beaubien on the 50th anniversary of Expo in 2017.
- Son of lawyer Aquila Jasmin, he is the father of art historian Claude Jasmin and pianist and music professor Pierre Jasmin.
