Espn announced late Monday that Jon Miller and Joe Morgan, broadcasters synonymous with "Sunday Night Baseball," will not be returning in 2011. Miller and Morgan served as the voices of "Sunday Night Baseball" for 21 years. “We’ve decided to make a change and introduce new voices and new perspective,” Espn executive vice president Norby Williamson said while announcing the move. “Twenty-one years is an eternity in this business. NBC celebrated the 45th anniversary of its soap opera "Days of Our Lives" Monday (Nov. 8) by renewing the show for two more years. It will continue through at least the 2012-13 season. [NBC]
Former "Access Hollywood" host Nancy O'Dell has been tapped ring in 2011 on Fox's "New Year's Eve Live." She'll be counting down the year from the Mandalay Bay resort in Las Vegas; the special will also include live music and coverage of the ball drop in New York's Times Square. [Fox]
Speaking of Fox: The network has ordered a game show called "Million Dollar Money Drop," in which contestants are given a million bucks at the start of the game, then have to answer questions correctly in order to keep it. It premieres Dec. 20 with comedian Kevin Pollak as host. [Fox]

If you look at the picture of Orel Hershiser on the right, you might think he's a pretty unimposing guy. However, the former Los Angeles Dodgers pitcher is something of an Einstein when it comes to playing the game of baseball. Therefore, it makes perfect sense and is a brilliant move that he will be joining Espn's 'Sunday Night Baseball' broadcast as an analyst.
Hershiser should have been put in the booth as soon as he was signed with Espn, but all good things in their time. Now the former Mvp, Cy Young award winner and World Series champ will be lending his expertise to the broadcast anchored by Jon Miller, the play by play guy, and former Cincinnati Reds star Joe Morgan as the lead analyst.
