We've been sifting through Deadpool & Wolverine rumours from the moment it was first announced. Very early on, there were rumblings about it dealing with the aftermath of Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness and, more specifically, the Scarlet Witch's attack on Earth-838.
The movie was supposed to show us what became of that world after Wanda killed the Illuminati, with it now a "dystopian future led by a handful of individuals who were related to the deceased members of the former Illuminati."

Ryan Reynolds will undoubtedly make some big bucks at theaters with his upcoming MCU film, Deadpool & Wolverine. Reynolds returns to his role of the wisecracking mercenary with regenerative mutation, who is now dropped into the very sane world of the MCU. However, the former DC star has made a new MCU record that even Robert Downey Jr. failed to achieve during his time at the MCU.

Superhero movies are ubiquitous at this point, and the biggest name in the game is Marvel. Not just any Marvel, mind you, but Marvel Studios. Starting with 2008’s “Iron Man,” Marvel Studios and its now-president Kevin Feige started experimenting with the idea of telling one long, interconnected story over multiple movies with different lead characters, crossing over from time to time – just like in the comics. That experiment proved successful with 2012’s “The Avengers,” and it’s been hit after hit ever since.
The Marvel Cinematic Universe continues to grow, even in the wake of the conclusive nature of 2019’s “Avengers: Endgame,” and it can be hard to keep track of what’s coming down the pike. Below, we’ve assembled a list of every confirmed MCU movie currently in the works, when it’s coming out, who’s in it, and what we know about each project so far.

Ryan Reynolds has begun shooting for ‘Deadpool 3’ with the actor sporting a new suit for the ‘Merc with a Mouth’, and it is a bit different from his older suit from the Fox movies, having a brighter palette.
As reported by Aceshowbiz, in the photos obtained by ‘The Mirror’, Reynolds was seen filming a car crash scene in the woods on location earlier this week.
“The pictures gave away a look at Deadpool’s new suit, which features very few changes from the outfit donned earlier in the Fox movies. Some gold highlights have been added to the black areas on the costume, but the overall design remains the same.”
“The biggest change to the costume is the colour. Where ‘Deadpool’ and its sequel had a largely muted color palette, the red of the suit in the new set photos is surprisingly bright, almost similar with the coloring in the comics.

After playing Wolverine for nearly twenty years, Hugh Jackman hung up the claws with Logan. The James Mangold movie was a thrilling and touching conclusion for the character… until Ryan Reynolds successfully convinced Hugh Jackman to play Wolverine once again for the upcoming Deadpool 3.
While speaking with Entertainment Tonight, James Mangold revealed that he’s anything but upset that Hugh Jackman will play Wolverine in Deadpool 3. “I’m thrilled for him to get a chance to play with it again,” Mangold said. “Whether one way or another, I knew Logan wouldn’t be the last time we see a Wolverine movie. We had our moment to kind of let that movie play and I’m really moved by how much that picture lives in people’s memories.” Mangold added, “You can’t put a moratorium on characters.“

When Ryan Reynolds and Hugh Jackman announced they’d take their bromance to the next level in Deadpool 3, superhero cinema fans lost their minds. I remember it like it was yesterday. The excited shouts were deafening, especially for us here in Canada. While we wait for production to begin, I’ll enjoy my BeaverTails and Hickory Sticks and bask in the latest update about the film. Speaking with Et Canada, Reynolds revealed how the heroes from the Great White North joined forces.
“It’s been fun,” Reynolds told the outlet. “He and I are both really excited. We’ve wanted to do this for a decade. So, to have this opportunity now is, I think actually weirdly, the perfect time.”
Regarding what it took for Jackman to pop his claws again for what I hope is a buddy action film of epic proportion, Reynolds said, “I mean, I never stopped.

Actress Morena Baccarin has addressed the likelihood of a Deadpool 3 return for her character Vanessa, the great love of Ryan Reynolds’ Merc with a Mouth.
Her comments came during a recent interview on the podcast Inside of You with Michael Rosenbaum, in which the host asked her, “What’s up with Deadpool 3? Fans want to know. Anything…any scoop?”
“Yeah, what is up with Deadpool 3? That’s a really good question,” said Baccarin. “I have to be very diplomatic about what I say here. I’d like to be in it. They have called me about being in it. Right now, we have not agreed on terms, and everybody’s trying their best, and doing their best. But it may or may not work out. I don’t know.”

The Bob of "Bob's Burgers" (H. Jon Benjamin) is something of a sad sack — a small business owner who often finds himself teetering on the brink of bankruptcy. Despite his perpetual exhaustion, he finds time to invent new hamburger recipes, and his restaurant often displays his latest cleverly named entrée. He has a wife named Linda (John Roberts) who is relentlessly upbeat, and always eager to help others, even if her ideas often skew odd. Their daughter Tina (Dan Mintz) is stone-faced but secretly burns with lust for her junior high classmates ... and zombies. Their son Gene (Eugene Mirman) rotates through bizarre obsessions like they're pieces of gum, and their youngest, Louise (Kristen Schaal), has taken the role of the clan's precocious leader and is never seen without her pink hat with bunny ears.
They are unusual people, the Belcher family. They often bicker and not a day goes by without one of them screaming.

Based on the novel of the same name by Grant Ginder, director Clare Scanlon (“Set It Up”) returns to the world of romantic comedies with the charmless, vaguely holiday-set “The People We Hate at the Wedding”. Adapted by Wendy Molyneux and Lizzie Molyneux-Logelin, there is little here to recommend in a film that once upon a time would have been destined for the bargain bin.

No joke: Claire Scanlon knows what’s funny. The seasoned comedy director and editor has helmed episodes of everything from “The Good Place” and “Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt” to “Brooklyn Nine-Nine” and “Bless This Mess.” She produced “Last Comic Standing.” She edited “American Masters” episodes about Bob Newhart and Carol Burnett.
And she, in no small part, helped herald the re-emergence of the rom-com thanks to her 2018 smash Netflix film “Set It Up.”
Ever-busy (the director generously Zoomed with IndieWire from the very first day of production on ABC’s new sitcom “Not Dead Yet”), Scanlon is back in the film groove with another streaming feature: Amazon’s ensemble comedy “The People We Hate at the Wedding.” And while she said she was offered “a lot” of rom-coms after the success of “Set It Up,” she’s still working through her feelings on the genre. Mostly, Scanlon is compelled by one thing: cracking that comedy code,...

The term “romantic comedy” these days covers a lot of light entertainments that only notionally meet the genre requirements: They pivot on relationships while just glancing at romance, and are packed with dialogue that’s zappily delivered but not all that funny. “The People We Hate at the Wedding” is one such nonromcom. Sporting a game cast and efficient sitcommy pacing, it looks and sounds the part just enough to keep you diverted — until you notice, as the credits roll to upbeat electropop, that you haven’t laughed once. Starring Kristen Bell, Ben Platt and Allison Janney as the blundering American relatives lowering the tone of a posh English wedding, this straight-to-streaming Amazon release attempts to bring a faintly risqué, expletive-laden millennial sensibility to Nancy Meyers terrain, and never quite finds the sweet spot.

The first scene Kristen Bell shot in Claire Scanlon’s new comedy, The People We Hate at the Wedding, is one that more than a few might describe as a bit of a nightmare.
“It was 7 a.m. and they threw me in the Thames River,” Bell explained with a smile on Wednesday night while standing on the red carpet in Westwood, host of the Prime Video premiere. “That river is neither warm nor clean but the minute we were done with that scene, we realized, oh, the rest of the movie is going to be a breeze.”
Call it a reward for a dirty job done early, the rest of Bell’s experience on the film played like a “dream come true.” That was thanks, in large part, to her co-stars. Based on the book by Grant Ginder and penned by writer-producer...

A short, patchy, straight-to-streaming piece of semi-amusing content that tries to fit several different romantic-comedies into a single movie that doesn’t have the bandwidth (or the interest) to mine any of them for major sources of romance or comedy, .
Some of them should be so lucky.
At one point, during what can only be described as the worst bachelorette party ever conceived in movies and/or real life, Kristen Bell is submerged in the River Thames on a crisp fall afternoon while dressed in nothing but an American flag bikini (and that’s before the activity goes wrong). At another, Ben Platt pisses on iconic “No Fear, No Die” star Isaach de Bankolé out of spite, which is not a sentence I ever expected to write.

A star-studded cast in front of and behind the camera power “The People We Hate at the Wedding,” Prime Video’s answer to the blockbuster romantic comedy.
Adapted from Grant Ginder’s 2017 novel of the same name, this quirky comedic film stars Oscar and Emmy winner Allison Janney, Golden Globe nominee Kristen Bell and Tge winner Ben Platt, along with César winner Isaach De Bankolé and “The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power” star Cynthia Addai-Robinson. It is written by Lizzie Molyneux-Logelin and Wendy Molyneaux (“Bob’s Burgers”) and directed by Emmy winner Claire Scanlon (“Brooklyn Nine-Nine”).
It’s an impressive crew that brings a great deal to the table, but what they don’t manage to bring to this comedy is much of a sense of fun.

There's a major reason why Ben Platt signed on to Prime Video's "The People We Hate at the Wedding." "I was really hungry to play a queer character and, specifically, a gay character and to get to play something very close to my own experience and my own age and my own demographic," he tells Popsugar.
In the new comedy, Platt plays Paul, the youngest sibling of three. He and his sister Alice, played by Kristen Bell, are resentful they have to travel across the pond for the wedding of their seemingly perfect half-sister Eloise ("The Rings of Power"'s Cynthia Addai-Robinson). Their mother, played by Alison Janney, just wants them all to come together, but Paul and Alice bring their baggage with them - with major consequences. The movie is based on the 2016 novel by Grant Ginder, with a screenplay from "Bob's Burgers" writers Lizzie Molyneux-Logelin and Wendy Molyneux.

Weddings are meant to be occasions of joy and unity, celebrations of togetherness and love, where you share in the joy with closest friends and family to create memories that last a lifetime.
But they can sometimes feel like a Thanksgiving or Christmas dinner: a frustrating chore you do out of obligation. They can be dull and even infuriating affairs where dysfunctional relationships are the norm, and old grudges, boring conversations, and endless insensitive questions and jokes are the word of the day. And like with Thanksgiving dinner, a wedding always has a group of people that sour the whole thing, becoming the butt of the joke and the stories for weeks after. These are the people that take all the attention in a very bad way, who distract from the actual celebration and ruin everyone's night.

At every wedding, there are those guests that wreak some kind of havoc. In “The People We Hate at the Wedding,” those guests are Kristen Bell, Ben Platt and Allison Janney — and they know it.
In the first trailer for Prime Video’s upcoming movie, based on the book of the same name, the trio is a family jetting off to England to celebrate the wedding of Eloise (Cynthia Addai-Robinson). Of course, for her siblings Alice and Paul, it’s a bit of a begrudging attendance. As Paul snipes — while apparently standing next to a woman hanging out in an actual garbage can — “Eloise is our half-sister, which means that we can half-ass the relationship.”
Why is the relationship so strained? Well, according to Alice, Eloise is wealthy, and chose to make her life in London. The wedding, it seems, is an effort by Eloise to reunite the family. You...

We've known for some time that Ryan Reynolds has been working on a third "Deadpool" movie. Together with "Zombieland" writers Paul Wernick and Rhett Reese, the actor/gin peddler/Welsh football team co-owner continued to work on the project even after Fox was purchased by the Walt Disney Company. Except. now that the film rights for the Merc with a Mouth and the other X-Men characters were reunited with the likes of the Avengers, the Guardians of the Galaxy, and the Defenders, the fan-favorite character is finally able to be a part of the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Shortly after that, Wendy Molyneux and Lizzie Molyneux-Logelin were tapped to work on a draft of the script and filmmaker Shawn Levy signed on to direct. But there has been radio silence since then.

Lizzie Molyneux-Logelin, Wendy Molyneux, and Minty Lewis made something special with "The Great North," an animated sitcom about the adventures of Tobin family from Lone Moose, Alaska. In 2021, Fox delivered a pandemic saving gift in the form of "The Great North," a family comedy from the always hilarious Wendy Molyneux, Lizzie Molyneux-Logelin, and Minty Lewis. Featuring a dynamic voice cast including Nick Offerman, Jenny Slate, Will Forte, Paul Rust, Aparna Nancherla, Dulcé Sloan, and Alanis Morissette, "The Great North" centers on the Alaskan adventures of the Tobin family, headed by single dad Beef, his lovably weird kids Wolf, Judy, Ham, and Moon, and Wolf's fiancé, Honeybee.

The forthcoming Deadpool 3 marks the first film in the franchise that will be produced after Disney bought 20th Century Fox. Fans have expressed concern that the R-rated Merc with a Mouth might become just another kid-friendly jokester under the new ownership. Screenwriters Rhett Reese and Paul Wernick eased those fears in a recent interview with Den of Geek.
