There used to be this breed called star secretaries. Now, they have been replaced by casting agents or talent managers. You must have seen what a secretary’s job was; just maintaining a star’s date diary and face the producer’s music when the dates needed to be cancelled and when it came to asking for payments!
Asrani plays a secretary who manages the affairs of first, Amitabh Bachchan, and later, Jaya Bhaduri, in the film ‘Abhimaan’ (1973). If what we hear is true, Madhuri Dixit may soon playing the role of Sonam Kapoor’s mother in Anil Kapoor’s remake of the Hollywood film, Freaky Friday.
The role was previously offered to Shabhana Azmi, Rekha and Kirron Kher who had to turn it down due to date clashes. Since Anil has said that he would like to work with his former leading lady again, he felt that Madhuri suited the role perfectly. Although she likes the script, we are still waiting for confirmation on her part in the film which revolves around a mother and daughter who magically swap roles for a day.
Could this be Madhuri’s comeback from her previous comeback, Aaja Nachle?
Her secretary and previous manager, Rakesh Nath has said, “She has got four-five very good offers. She will definitely do another film soon, but this time we have to be very careful.

The ovation is so irresistible especially when you happen to be Madhuri Dixit. To no one's surprise, she's back in the thick of things shooting not only for the reality show that brought her to India this time, but also an endorsement for which she has apparently been paid an unheard-of price. Madhuri has now been signed on for a number of endorsements in India. One of them was shot last week at a suburban studio. According to reliable sources, Madhuri and her old faithful business manager Rakesh Nath (Rikku) have finalized the exiled Diva for at least three other endorsements that would keep Madhuti busy for a good part of January. When contacted Rikku who has looked after Madhuri's career from the start admits Madhuri's endorsement plans. "She is at this very moment shooting for an endorsement campaign for Hindustan Lever product. Other endorsements are being finalized.

After reaching a dead-end with her career in Bollywood (her one and only hit was Pyar Ke Side Effects, not counting the cameo with Nana Patekar and Anil Kapoor in Welcome) and with her purported global re-re-re-launch in Hissss showing no sign of release (the date has now gone from August to November) Mallika has signed on the dotted line for the Dhamaal sequel Double Dhamaal with exceptional enthusiasm. Maybe it's the pleasure of being cast opposite Sanjay Dutt or maybe just the delight of being accepted back in Bollywood. But once known to charge anything from 1 to 1.5 crore rupees (not dollars) in Bollywood, now she has apparently refused to discuss money with producer Ashok Thakeria from Los Angeles (where her tweeted claims to friendship with Hollywood biggies has been roundly questioned). Says the producer, "Mallika said she will take anything we give her. She's just happy to be a...

Looks like Kangana Ranaut is fast settling into the Sanjay Dutt camp, remarks Rapchik Rajni as she strolls into my den. Matlab? And yet again Madhuri Dixit scores over Aishwariya Rai Bachchan. After the popular Cricket Premiere League, India will now come out with its very own Dance Premiere League in much similar fashion and pomp. Of course, both the dance divas were in the running to take part and be judges in the league. However, the Dancing Queen to Bollywood, Madhuri scored big over Ash and was given a seat amongst many other Bollywood stars to judge the reality show.
According to sources, "Madhuri and Aishwarya were both being considered to be the judge for one of the teams. Aishwarya lost out to Madhuri as she quoted an exorbitant amount of money. The makers of the show couldn't afford her and the scales tipped in Madhuri's favour as she had demanded an affordable price." However, her secretary Rakesh Nath claimed that discussions were "still on."
