Big-hearted actress Helen Hunt has hit out at critics who believe child star Haley Joel Osment has been pushed into the acting business. Hollywood insiders feel young Haley has been pushed too hard by actor dad Eugene Osment - but Hunt, who co-stars with Osment in the new movie Pay It Forward (2000), insists Osment's dad "doesn't sit him in the corner and make him read lines." She says, "His father is an actor too, and they explore a part the way that any actor does. The same questions Kevin Spacey and I were asking Haley in Pay It Forward (2000), Eugene was asking too. His performance is not some accident. Acting really means a lot to him, and I remember feeling that way. When Haley does a take and it doesn't go well and everybody is moving on, you can see it's upsetting to him. He wants to get it right - but at the same time he is a kid. When he is done he goes and rides his bike."...
