Kevin Richardson has led international story teams to develop Chinese animated feature films for the Chinese market - projects involving magic, Martial Arts, and other Chinese story elements. One film releases July 2017 (Tofu), the other at the end of 2018 (Jing Ling Master).
Mr. Richardson attended California Institute of the Arts in their motion picture school and majored in character animation. He has worked as an animator and technical artist on feature films at Industrial Light and Magic (LucasFilms Ltd.), Hyperion, Colossal, Duck Soup, IntroVision, Wang Films (Cuckoos Nest), MS Film, and later ran the German wing of a European studio grouping in Germany with animation producers Didier Brunner (know for The Secret of Kells, Triplets of Bellville), John Coates (known for Snowman, Yellow Submarine), and Santiago Moro of Estudio Moro.
As Producer Mr. Richardson helmed many branded international award-winning games (Family Feud, Trivial Pursuit, Battleship, Boggle, Risk...) for Mattel Interactive, Electronic Arts, Nickelodeon Kids and Family, and iwin. At The Learning Company/Mattel, Mr. Richardson ran an organization of 75 (3 producers and their respective teams) "The Story Zone" while earning certifications in software project and engineering management and finishing his BA with honors. In his seventh year at Mattel Interactive Mr. Richardson led outbound licensing for The Learning Company/Mattel catalog of interactive IP (Reader Rabbit, ClueFinders, Oregon Trail, Carmen Sandiego) translating the IP to new media.
Mr. Richardson continues to develop motion pictures and entertainment experiences, using the medium to explore themes of man's relationship with the world, and promoting respect for biodiversity.
