If you haven't been watching the series adaptation of Stephen King's Mr. Mercedes, you've been missing out on one hell of a great show! This show has got a talented creative team behind it including writer and producer David E. Kelley (Big Little Lies, Boston Legal), director Jack Bender, along with series star Brendan Gleeson and the rest of the cast.
Season 1 of the series followed a demented killer named Brady Hartsfield (Harry Treadaway) "who taunts a retired police detective Bill Hodges (Gleeson) with a series of lurid letters and emails, forcing the ex-cop to undertake a private, and potentially felonious, crusade to bring the killer to justice before he is able to strike again."
I'm happy to report that the series has been picked up for a season and it will be based on the second book of King's Bill Hodges trilogy, which is called Finders Keepers. If everything goes as planned,...

Yet another Stephen King novel is set to get the TV treatment. While folks may be more dead set on seeing some of Stephen King’s older work — like It, The Dark Tower, Firestarter, or The Mist — on the big and small screen, we can’t forget that the dude’s been writing pretty great novels in recent years as well. Most recently, King’s put out a trilogy of hard-boiled detective novels. The stories started with Mr. Mercedes, continued with Finder Keepers, and concluded with End of Watch.
We’ve known for some time that the first book would be adapted for the small screen, but after being announced, back-burnered, and then brought back to the fold, it became easy to lose track over what the actual status of the project was. Now, Audience Network has announced that the 10-episode limited series has a premiere date of Wednesday, August...

Stephen King's Mr. Mercedes is being adapted for TV by the Audience Network. Here's the first trailer...
Let's face it: if Stephen King wrote it, it's probably going to turn up on some sort of screen at some point.
The latest upcoming TV adaptation is Mr. Mercedes, King's 2014 novel about a retired police detective who is being stalked by a killer. It's still King writing at his very creepiest, as the hardboiled mystery unfolds page after page.
Here's the first trailer...
The TV adaptation is coming to the Audience Network from the minds of David E. Kelley (The Practice) and Jack Bender (Under the Dome). It will star Brendan Gleeson (28 Days Later).
The official synopsis, which came with the trailer, reads thusly...
"From Executive Producers Stephen King, David E. Kelley and Jack Bender comes the story of a demented serial killer who taunts a retired police...

Next June, readers of Stephen King's Bill Hodges books will be rewarded with Scribner's hardcover release of End of Watch, the follow-up novel to Mr. Mercedes and Finders Keepers. Although the upcoming book's release date won't arrive for quite some time, End of Watch's cover art and synopsis have now been revealed.
End of Watch synopsis (via StephenKing.com): "In Room 217 Of The Lakes Region Traumatic Brain Injury Clinic, Something Has Awakened. Something Evil.
Brady Hartsfield, perpetrator of the Mercedes Massacre, where eight people were killed and many more were badly injured, has been in the Traumatic Brain Injury Clinic for five years, in a vegetative state. According to his doctors, anything approaching a complete recovery is unlikely. But behind the drool and stare, Brady is awake, and in possession of deadly new powers that allow him to wreak unimaginable havoc without ever leaving his hospital room.

Published last year, Stephen King’s Mr. Mercedes follows retired cop Bill Hodges as he hunts a killer who used a set of wheels as a lethal weapon. This past summer, King announced that Mr. Mercedes was the first book in a planned trilogy. Finders Keepers, the second installment of that trilogy, is due out in May and its official cover has now been revealed, and we also have the Misery-esque synopsis.
Finders Keepers will hit shelves on June 2nd, 2015. We have the official synopsis for the novel, which is projected to be 448 pages long (via Simon & Schuster):
““Wake up, genius.” So begins King’s instantly riveting story about a vengeful reader. The genius is John Rothstein, an iconic author who created a famous character, Jimmy Gold, but who hasn’t published a book for decades. Morris Bellamy is livid, not just because Rothstein has stopped providing books,...
