The nationwide release of “Wanted” is just days away, but some lucky folks over in Los Angeles already had the chance to see the film at the annual Los Angeles Film Festival.
“Wanted” premiered on June 19, 2008, at 7.30 p.m. at the Mann Village Theatre, and the first (pretty positive) responses are in. My buddy Michael Stailey from dvdverdict.com attended the screening, and he was clearly blown away by Timur Bekmambetov’s action spectacle.
Here’s a little excerpt from his review over at cinemaverdict.com:
“Wow… I saw the film hours ago and the buzz has yet to wear off. If you are averse to brutal violence, gun play, and cruelty to animals, ‘Wanted’ isn’t your bag. For everyone else, strap yourselves in for one hell of a ride.”
