- Frano Vodopivec began his work in photography at high school. During WW2 he was employed in film propaganda company of Croatian quisling government. After the war, he directed photography in his first movie in 1947, and in 1952 he began working on feature films. In next quarter of century, Vodopivec was responsible for photography in around twenty movies, some of them being among the best produced in former Yugoslavia. Vodopivec also wrote and directed around fifty docummentaries and education films.
