When J.J. Abrams' Star Trek sequel starts filming next month, it will do so without Benicio Del Toro, who was sought after to play the film's villain. After undergoing negotiations for the part last month, the deal fell apart a few days ago when monetary issues couldn't be settled. But the question still remains: which character did Del Toro walk away from? When his name initially came up, there was speculation that Khan, made famous in original series film Star Trek II: The Wrath of Khan, would be the villain in the new film. J.J. Abrams has denied this rumor, although Vulture claims to have "a highly placed source" which states that Khan will indeed be the film's antagonist.
