- In 1994, he had Raoul Felder slippers made to give as Christmas and Hanukkah presents, with what is essentially a Raoul Felder doll on each foot, but since they were hand sewn, each of the many thousands of slippers had a slightly different facial expression, along with a mostly full head of hair, which was notable, since he had been going bald for more than 40 years. He posed for a picture in the middle of the puppet slippers, which appeared in the New York Times on December 21, 1994. - On August 18, 2000, then New York City Police Commissioner Howard Safir named Felder as Honorary Police Commissioner of the City of New York, and issued an official certificate "This certifies that I, the Police Commissioner of the City of New York, by virtue of powers conferred by law did on the 18th day of August 2000 appoint Raoul Felder Honorary Police Commissioner of the Police Department of the City of New York." This appointment has remained in force through the administrations of all subsequent New York City Police Commissioners through present/2021, and has not been rescinded. This allows Felder to be addressed as "Honorary Commissioner," or "Your Honor" in police or other official city proceedings.
- Along with California attorney Marvin Mitchelson, Felder was pronounced as one of the two "Dukes of Divorce (Attorneys)," Mitchelson for California and the west coast (famous as the "palimony attorney") and Felder for New York and the east coast. Mitchelson died in 2004, leaving Felder as the only remaining "Duke of Divorce".
