Deadpool & Wolverine is right around the corner and Ryan Reynolds has got fans talking today with a cryptic Instagram post. In that, we see what appears to be a brief snippet of footage from the threequel with an Avengers flag bearing the team's emblem blowing in the breeze.
However, the iconic logo has been defaced with the "A" symbol of anarchy, leading to speculation this could be referencing the team of Variants who assemble to battle Cassandra Nova and her villainous allies in The Void.
According to The Geeky Cast (meaning we're taking this with a major pinch of salt), the "Resistance" team will be comprised of Deadpool (Reynolds), Wolverine (Hugh Jackman), Blade (Wesley Snipes), X-23 (Dafne Keen), Gambit (Channing Tatum), the Human Torch (Chris Evans), and Elektra (Jennifer Garner).
That sounds a little too good to be true if we're being honest. If they are in the movie, though,...

Well, well, well. Look what the cat dragged in. A Channing Tatum film that was lost in the alleys of Hollywood seems to be making its way out of the crowd and into the spotlight!

It was recently revealed by Tatum himself that a script for the unfinished film 23 Jump Street (a sequel in the 21 Jump Street franchise) was the best one he ever read. Somewhere, down the line, Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse director Rodney Rothman, allegedly picked it up!

21 Jump Street came out in 1987 with Johnny Depp portraying the role of a high-school student while being an undercover cop. This TV series was remade into a 2012 film starring Channing Tatum and Jonah Hill.

The upcoming ‘X-Men’ reboot in the MCU is highly anticipated by fans, as it will officially introduce the team into the expansive cinematic universe and restart the franchise previously held by Fox.
Details about the movie are scarce, but the studio aims to strike a perfect balance between humor and drama, while also bringing previously unadapted mutants to life on the big screen.
Recently, it was revealed that Michael Lesslie has been selected by the studio to write the script for the upcoming ‘X-Men’ reboot. Lesslie is best known for his work on ‘The Hunger Games: The Ballad of Songbirds & Snakes,’ making him a strong choice for this project.
According to notable scooper and leaker Daniel Richtman, Lesslie has already pitched his proposed team for the MCU, featuring the complete roster from ‘X-Men ’97.

MCU’s upcoming ‘X-Men’ reboot is one of the most exciting projects that fans are looking forward to. It’s going to serve as an official introduction of the team to the massive cinematic universe and restart the universe that Fox so far had rights to.
Not much is known about the movie, except that the studio wants a perfect balance between humor and drama and they are looking to bring previously unadapted mutants to live action.
Recently we learned that Michael Lesslie was chosen by the studio to pen the script for the upcoming reboot. Lesslie is in recent times most notable for penning ‘The Hunger Games: The Ballad of Songbirds & Snakes,’ and therefore is considered one of the better choices for the reboot.
According to Daniel Richtman, notable scooper, and leaker, Lesslie already pitched his potential team for the MCU, and it’s the full roster of ‘X-Men ’97.

When the news broke that Disney had acquired 20th Century Fox, comic book fans immediately started getting excited. After all, it meant Marvel Studios had finally regained the rights to the X-Men and Fantastic Four franchise.
Fox never managed to figure out Marvel's First Family, and while its early mutant movies received deserved critical acclaim, that franchise quickly started going downhill (with the odd win here and there like Logan and Deadpool).
The Fantastic Four reboot arrives in theaters next year and, judging by the early concept art, the plan is for them to hail from a reality other than Earth-616.
It's a surprising move on Marvel Studios' part, though we'd imagine Avengers: Secret Wars will make it so that they're eventually a permanent part of Earth-616. While time will tell on that front, scooper Daniel Richtman has shared some exciting new details about the movie today.

Even though it’s been nearly two months since Disney+’s X-Men ’97 ended, fans are still debating what occurred in the jam-packed first season. This new iteration of X-Men continues the iconic and beloved animated series X-Men: The Animated Series that aired from 1992 to 1997. More than just a nostalgia trip, the updated series brought back many of the former creatives from the original series in order to stay true to the 1990s sensibilities but push the envelope of what a modern-day X-Men series could look like. Following the fall of Genosha, X-Men ’97 deals with the complex relationships between mutants and humans alongside the ramifications of Professor Xavier abandoning his team of mutants and leaving his formidable nemesis Magneto in charge.

‘Deadpool & Wolverine’ is generating significant anticipation as one of the most exciting upcoming projects in the MCU. Scheduled for release in 2024, it’s already drawing praise from those who have seen previews, with expectations high for its impact on the franchise’s reputation.
As with any highly anticipated project, rumors abound regarding potential cameos, variants, and plot elements, with some confirmations, such as Jennifer Garner’s Elektra, and others still under speculation, supported by mounting evidence. To provide clarity, let’s explore the confirmed and rumored cameos and variants expected in the film.
Aaron Stanford – John Allerdyce/Pyro (Confirmed)
Aaron Stanford’s return was initially speculated, along with a few other minor X-Men villains, though his appearance was later confirmed in the trailer. While he only briefly appears on screen, his unmistakable costume leaves no doubt about his identity. Earlier this year, he had denied any involvement in the movie.

Some have been confirmed like Garner’s Elektra, and some remain under speculation, with more and more evidence stacking to support them. This is why we decided to overview all confirmed (and rumored) cameos & variants that are supposed to be included in the movie.

Famously known for his roles in blockbuster films like Magic Mike and 21 Jump Street, Channing Tatum has been dominating the entertainment industry for decades. Over the years, Tatum has created an impressive resume by working on acclaimed projects and collaborating with Oscar winners like Sandra Bullock.

“Nothing lasts forever.” There’s something deeply ironic about that line of dialogue being dropped by Scarlett Johansson’s Black Widow in only the second Avengers movie from almost 10 years ago. While Johansson’s tenure in the superhero genre is apparently over, with the Oscar-nominated star more recently focusing on films like Wes Anderson’s Asteroid City, the MCU is still going strong with the latest whispers about Avengers 5 getting the rumor mills spinning again. Hence one of the reasons Steve Carell and Illumination Entertainment’s new marketing for Despicable Me 4 is so biting.
Carell—who, by the by, was also in Asteroid City—took time to promote not only Despicable Me 4 in a new viral marketing video, but an entire supposed “Mega Minions” shared universe that will outlive us all and see the 22nd century.

Holy Chimichangas! The Merc with a Mouth is Finally teaming up with Hugh Jackman’s Wolverine on the big screen in Deadpool & Wolverine. After Jackman retired as the character, we didn’t think we would get a chance to see this happen. Since the trailer reveal, we have seen this film firmly takes place in the current Multiverse Saga that the MCU is going through. With that, we’ll see our heroes cross over with a lot of surprises, and it appears to be the final send-off for much of the Fox/Marvel universe. Here is who we want to see show up during the film.

There are a plethora of reasons why the recently released X-Men ‘97 proved to be the kind of stellar success that it quickly became. The animation style, the continuation of the narrative, the quality of it itself, and the way in which it remained true to its roots were bound to impress viewers worldwide.
However, another reason it proved such a stellar watch was down to the kind of tragedies that graced our screen. Fans who have already watched the 10-episode-strong Season 1 will know exactly what we are talking about, especially with respect to Episode 5, Remember It, which we shall surely remember for a long time to come.

X-Men... 2000?
Although the recent Disney+ show served as a revival of an animated series that aired 25 years ago, the decision was made to keep the action rooted firmly in the original era. But with season 2 already confirmed and reports that Marvel Studios fully intends to keep the show going for as long as possible, could the mutant heroes make the jump into the noughties?
During an interview with Discussing Film, supervising director Jake Castorena was asked if they intend to hold on to the '90s aesthetic, and if he anticipates the show taking influence from later comic book runs for the second season.
"We touched on that, even in season one with E is for Extinction, which was definitely not of the ’90s run per se but in the zeitgeist of the era that came a little later," he replied. "Once so much time passes, that’s pretty much...

Wolverine is arguably the most iconic of the X-Men, and largely has a very uniform identity which has been helped by Hugh Jackman’s iconic portrayal of the character in various live-action adaptations. The mutant himself, however, has been an integral part of the comics since forever, and was already extremely popular via the various animated iterations that came out, since the 1980s.

As it turned out, Parr worked on the pilot which was later cancelled alongside the likes of Will Meugniot, and Rick Hoberg, all X-Men fanboys. The group however,...

Is the X-Men Comics Relaunch Testing Heroes and Rosters for Future MCU Appearances? - Main Image
Marvel is bringing back its band of merry mutants in X-Men: From the Ashes starting this July 2024, testing out new rosters and storylines for comic books as the mutants deal with the aftermath of the fall of their island nation, Krakoa.

Despite being fired as X-Men '97 showrunner (the details are still sketchy) shortly before the series premiered on Disney+, Beau DeMayo has remained active on social media, sharing intriguing insights into the development of the animated revival show and revealing some of his key influences.
DeMayo has previously explained how the iconic "Superman takes flight" sequence from Zack Snyder's Man of Steel inspired a similar moment from episode 6 featuring Storm regaining her powers, and has now revealed that a different scene may have "subconsciously influenced" Rogue attacking the villainous Bastion in the recent season finale.
This was yet another standout moment for Rogue, who unleashed the full extent of her power while channelling the pain and rage she felt after losing Gambit in the Genosha massacre
I was likely subconsciously influenced by this when writing the #xmen97 finale beat of Rogue punching Bastion. That’s not Superman hammering Zod.

The season 1 finale of Marvel Studios' acclaimed animated series, X-Men '97, hit Disney+ last Wednesday, and the events of "Tolerance is Extinction - Part 3" may have given us a pretty good idea of which characters will be undergoing a major personality change when the show returns for its second season.
If you haven't watched the episode yet, spoilers follow.
In the closing moments of the drama-filled finale, the team managed to defeat Bastion and prevent Asteroid M from destroying the planet, but the heroes ended up being transported through time in the process (by who or what remains to be seen).
Xavier (Ross Marquand), Magneto (Matthew Waterson), Rogue (Lenore Zann), Nightcrawler (Adrian Hough), and Beast (George Buza) find themselves in Egypt in the year 3,000 B.C., where they encounter a younger En Sabah Nur (Adetokumboh M'Cormack); while Jean Grey (Jennifer Hale) and Cyclops (Ray Chase) land way into the future in the year 3960 A.

X-Men '97 was a big hit with critics right from the start, but the Disney+ revival series has now become the highest-rated Marvel Studios project - live-action or animated, big or small screen - in the 16-year history of the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
With more reviews now counted for last Wednesday's season finale, X-Men '97 has reached a perfect 100% on Rotten Tomatoes. This takes it past Marvel's previous top-rated Disney+ show, Ms. Marvel (98%), and movie, Black Panther (96%), to become the most positively-reviewed MCU project of all time on the popular aggregator site.
The series wasn't only a critical favourite, as Deadline reports that May 15th's cameo-filled finale, "Tolerance is Extinction, Part 3," amassed a whopping 3.5 million views globally in its first five days on the streaming platform, making it the most-viewed full-length animated series finale since Season 1 of What If…?.

In the X-Men '97 season 1 finale, the team was thrown backwards (and forwards) in time. In 3000 B.C., we watched as Professor X, Magneto, Beast, Rogue and Nightcrawler encountered a young En Sabah Nur, a.k.a. Apocalypse.
Meanwhile, in 3060 A.D., Cyclops and Jean Grey crossed paths with a younger version of their son, Cable. As for Wolverine, Morph, Jubilee, and Storm, they're currently unaccounted for (though it's been confirmed they're not in the present and are scattered across one or both timelines).
Talking to IGN (via Toonado.com), supervising director Jake Castorena teased plans for Apocalypse in X-Men '97 season 2, explaining why the decision was made to put the spotlight back on the iconic villain.
"With the X-Men, for better or for worse, all roads usually end up leading to Apocalypse, right? It's either Apocalypse, Sinister, or Magneto," he says. "What I will say is we do things on purpose.

Exclusive: The finale of X-Men ’97 has set a promising track record for Disney+.
The episode, which debuted on May 15, saw 3.5M views globally in its first five days on the streaming platform. That makes it the most-viewed full-length animation series finale since Season 1 of What If…?, the Walt Disney Company says.
According to Disney, viewership had been growing consistently over the four episodes leading to the finale.
X-Men ’97 premiered in March with 4M views collectively across the first two episodes in their first five days on the platform.
The exact breakdown of viewership for each episode is unclear, but regardless it does indicate a strong, growing interest for the animated series, since the finale alone was nearly able to match the audience of the first two episodes in the same time frame.
As an added bonus, Disney also says that viewership for the original 1992 X-Men animated series has doubled since X-Men ’97 premiered.

The follow-up series to the original X-Men: The Animated Series from 1992, X-Men ’97 is gaining and rebuilding all the hearts that were broken when the original series got canceled after five seasons, and more. However, even while winning all of those hearts, this series by Beau DeMayo didn’t hesitate to break a whole lot more with its emotional plotlines that had fans sobbing.

That being said, one particular decision from the former showrunner DeMayo, who pretty much created this latest masterpiece before getting fired for reasons unknown, had the entire team sleepless at nights out of anxiety. This was because this decision included the brutal death of a fan-favorite mutant, and they weren’t sure how fans would take it after their initial reaction to the series.

The season 1 finale of Marvel Studios' acclaimed animated series, X-Men '97, hit Disney+ this past Wednesday, and it's fair to say the events of "Tolerance is Extinction - Part 3" left us with a lot to discuss.

Spoiler Warning: This story discusses major plot developments across the entire first season of “X-Men ’97,” currently streaming on Disney+.
To say Marvel fans have enjoyed the first season “X-Men ’97” — the continuation of the beloved animated series from the 1990s, widely credited for laying the foundation for the explosion of superhero cinema in the 2000s and 2010s — is a bit like saying Wolverine has a bit of an anger issue. The show has enthralled viewers with a dizzying narrative tapestry that’s been unflinching in its capacity to make bold choices. First among them was Episode 5, “Remember It,” in which an army of robot Sentinels slaughters thousands of mutants who had been celebrating in their island nation of Genosha, a truly shocking development that vividly — and trenchantly — evokes similar tragedies, from 9/11 to the Pulse nightclub shooting to the attacks in Israel on Oct. 7 and the ongoing siege of Gaza in response.

This X-Men ’97 article contains spoilers.
X-Men ’97 ended with more than a few spinning plates. Sure, Bastion was defeated, but the events sent some of the X-Men to the far future and others into the past. And yet a few others were zapped to parts unknown, such as Wolverine, who remains in critical condition after Magneto ripped out his adamantium skeleton. Back in the present, Forge and Bishop make plans to find their friends. Then there’s the matter of Professor X and Magneto’s mental states, which seems to be pointing toward the coming of the terrible Onslaught.
As that last point reminds us, as wonderful as X-Men ’97 is, a lot of its power comes from the Marvel comics that it adapts. The first season of X-Men ’97 ran quickly through some important storylines from the comics, including Inferno, Mutant Massacre, Lifedeath, and Operation: Zero Tolerance.

The X-Men have always been some of the most prominent characters in the Marvel comics, even though their film-based adaptations after Logan were not that kindly received by fans. However, with the recently released titular smash-hit animated series and the sequel of the original series from 1992 on these mutants, this band of heroes just may be reclaiming their lost position.

The mid-credits scene of X-Men ’97 revealed to the audience that six months after the X-Men vanished, Apocalypse visited the ruins of Genosha to lament the mutant massacre. Given that Apocalypse was seen looking at a charred playing card, fans are assured that the next big villain that will be plaguing the X-Men is Apocalypse and his Four Horsemen.

In the comics, Wolverine, who is currently recovering, Storm, and Gambit (who is dead) have all served as the Horseman for Death, along with a slew of other characters that are yet to make an appearance in X-Men ’97. A theory says that these characters will be a part of Apocalypse’s Horsemen along with the one loose end when it comes to the villains for this season: Mister Sinister.

X-Men '97's first season wrapped up on Disney+ yesterday and showrunner Beau DeMayo has returned to X and shared more insights into the finale, "Tolerance Is Extinction - Part 3."
As we first reported on Toonado.com, he began by revealing what we've long suspected since the series started: Morph does indeed have romantic feelings for Wolverine. That was hinted at in a shower scene earlier in the season, and DeMayo has confirmed the non-binary mutant's feelings are indeed one-sided.
This adds new context to the scene in the finale when Morph transforms into Jean Grey and, in that form, tells Logan they love him. Now, we know that what initially seemed like the mutant's way of comforting his dying friend was, in fact, a declaration of love...

Warning: Contains spoilers for X-Men ’97 Season 1
Now that’s how you do it. X-Men ’97 – Marvel Studios’ long-awaited follow-up to the 1990s X-Men animated series – ended this week with a finale that cements it as perhaps the best screen adaptation of the merry mutants we’ve ever seen. It’s well-known that, since their acquisition of the franchise from Fox, Marvel has had designs on a live-action McU-set take on the characters – and if this series is anything to go by, they’re on exactly the right track. Showrunner Beau DeMayo may no longer be with the company, but X-Men ’97 gives us a stack of reasons to hope that as much of its behind-the-scenes talent as possible has a hand in shepherding the mutants to the big screen.
In many senses, the success of X-Men ’97 came from picking up where the original cartoon left off. One of...

Major Spoilers follow for X-Men ‘97!
Well, that was quite the ending! We imagine you have a lot of questions regarding the popular Disney+ show’s finale. Beau DeMayo’s animated series certainly went out with a bang in the final episode of its first season, titled Tolerance Is Extinction – Part 3.
Marvel put a great finish to the first season of X-Men ‘97, laying the groundwork for an exciting future for the revived mutant series and raising the stakes significantly for the live-action X-Men films in the MCU.
En Sabah Nur, aka Apocalypse in X-Men ’97
Even though the X-Men saved the planet once again and maybe even partially restored humanity’s faith in them, this was not a happy ending, and many questions remain for the already-confirmed second season of X-Men ‘97.
Amidst all this, Nightcrawler gave no quarter, relentlessly hitting Bastien with his teammates’ attacks by teleporting him!

X-Men '97 Finale Echoes What Logan Warned Jean Grey About in Episode 5 - Main Image
The X-Men '97 finale sees the team of mutants separated on different timelines: some in the past, some in the future. As the unresolved stories build up for season 2, here's how Logan's ominous warning lines up with the X-Men '97 finale.
As Bishop said, "Luckily, this ain't our first time at 'the X-Men are dead' rodeo." The finale may have sparked hope for the mutants in returning to their original time, but it also poses a darkness looming in their future.
Content Spoilers: This article contains spoilers for X-Men '97 finale, so proceed with caution.
Finale Sees the X-Men 'Yanked' Through Time
Beast failed to stop the catastrophic impact of the Asteroid M on Earth, leaving the X-Men to prepare to sacrifice themselves. Instead of meeting their demise, however, they were sent to a different timeline.

The first season of "X-Men '97" comes to a close today, and the animated series has solidified itself as one of the best Marvel Studios projects since "Avengers: Endgame." While it would have been easy for the revival of "X-Men: The Animated Series" to coast by on cool nostalgia, showrunner Beau De Mayo (who was fired before the show's premiere) and supervising producer and head director Jake Castorena ensured that "X-Men '97" brought meaningful and emotional stories to life week in and week out, alongside the magnificent and modern mutant mayhem that zips through signature comic book storylines.
Similarly, Hasbro's Marvel Legends line of action figures have delivered an assembly of collectibles that take the classic feel of the animated X-Men and give them outstanding modern action figures. After an excellent first wave of figures, albeit one that could have used more accessories,...

Spoilers for "X-Men '97" follow.
Rejoice, my X-Fans, for your theories have prevailed.
The "X-Men '97" season 1 finale, the three-part epic "Tolerance is Extinction," ended in shocking fashion. The big bad Bastion sent Asteroid M on a collision course with Earth, deciding to force humanity into extinction rather than evolution. Professor X, unable to not see the good in Magneto, even after his frenemy's torturous attack on Wolverine, pulls Erik back to the light with a telepathic therapy session. The X-Men, once more including Magneto, save the world. But then they vanish, pulled through time to the past, future (Cyclops and Jean), and parts unrevealed. The past X-Men, stranded in Egypt, circa 3000 BC, meet a grey-skinned mutant that fans will certainly recognize.
As is Marvel tradition, there's also post-credits scene revealing that, while the X-Men are scattered across time, an old foe is rearing his head. In the present, En Sabah Nur's future self,...

This article was originally published on Toonado.com - head there now for all the latest on X-Men '97!
Following the shocking events of last week's episode, the X-Men '97 finale - "Tolerance Is Extinction - Part 3" - begins with a visit to the past and the moment Charles Xavier told his friend, Magnus, that he was a mutant.
We soon learn this is all in Magneto's head, with Professor X using his immense psychic abilities to force his friend-turned-foe to undo the damage he's inflicted upon the Earth. He succeeds, but Bastion is far from done and still has an army of Prime Sentinels on hand.
Just as the villain is about to kill Cable, Jean Grey returns as the Phoenix (briefly) to deal with him and leaves Mister Sinister a husk of his normal self. However, Bastion takes advantage of the distraction to take the Techno-Organic Virus...

Spoilers ahead for X-Men ’97.
Despite the raucous criticism that arose in the aftermath of Bryan Singerʼs atrocious fourth film (X-Men: Apocalypse) in his X-Men directorial biography, nothing seemed to go right in the mutant universe until Beau DeMayoʼs X-Men ʼ97.
Other than a few good scatterings here and there from Matthew Vaughn (X-Men: First Class) and James Mangold (The Wolverine), the Foxverse suffered and lagged under the curse of franchise sequels. Bryan Singerʼs exit after X2 took the life out of the X-Men universe until he appeared again in 2014 armed with the futuristic and brilliantly paced script of X-Men: Days of Future Past.
X-Men ʼ97 [Credit: Marvel Animation/Disney+]In hindsight, even though the 2014 film baked the already confusing timeline into an even greater mess, it was still a high point for the mutant universe considering what was to come soon after.

X-Men comics have always been about the future. They are, after all, stories about mutants, the next stage in human evolution. The central tension dividing Professor Charles Xavier and his best friend Magneto is how to go into that future, either working with humanity or ruling them.
X-Men comics have also always been very, very confusing, with their frequent tales of clones, shape-changers, and alternate realities.
Given those two facts, it’s no wonder that X-Men creators would embrace time travel as a storytelling conceit, throwing Marvel’s Merry Band of Mutants far into the future or launching them deep into the past. The results vary, but these fifteen tales represent the best, and sometimes most headache inducing, of the X-Men’s adventures across time.

The 1990 crossover Days of Future Present is only half an X-Men story, as Franklin Richards is the main character.

This article contains X-Men ’97 spoilers through episode 9.
Get ready to blast that iconic theme tune one last time because X-Men ‘97 season 1 is coming to an end. After nine episodes of spandex and Sentinels, we’re on the cusp of an epic finale that will hopefully set the stage for an equally epic second season.
Pulling off another faithful retelling of the comics, the cliffhanger ending of penultimate episode “Tolerance Is Extinction, Pt. 2” left fans reeling. As we brace for episode 10, here are the eight best X-Men ‘97 theories taking us through to the finale.
Onslaught Will Be The Final Villain
If we follow the comics, the events of 1993’s “Fatal Attractions” should lead to X-Men ‘97’s endgame villain. “Tolerance Is Extinction, Pt. 2” beautifully adapted the source material, even including the iconic moment of Magneto pulling out Wolverine’s adamantium skeleton.
This happens shot-for-shot in “Fatal Attraction”, and in its aftermath,...

X-Men '97's season 1 finale, "Tolerance Is Extinction - Part 3," arrives Disney+ on Wednesday and former showrunner Beau DeMayo has shared one last "homework assignment" for fans.
As you can see below (via Toonado.com), he's suggested we track down the X-Men: The Animated Series episode "The Final Decision".
In that, Magneto kidnaps Senator Kelly to start a war between humans and mutants. Sentinels made out of plastic then attack, rescuing the politician and leaving the X-Men to rescue a badly injured Master of Magnetism.
Bolivar Trask and Master Mold also factor into the episode, with the X-Men and Magneto working to destroy the latter and get Kelly back from Trask (who planned to replace his mind with a robot). The incident changes Kelly's mind about mutants and the episode ends with Mister Sinister watching Scott Summers and Jean Grey getting engaged.
Could that be when the villain swapped Jean with his clone?...

Jacob Elordi has emerged as a fan-favorite pick to play Gambit in live-action, and this new artwork from 21x4 imagines the Euphoria breakout as the X-Men's Ragin' Cajun with a dark, X-Men '97-inspired twist.
The image gives Elordi Gambit's signature bandana, trench coat and glowing eyes, but with one side of his face faded into a skull. This is a reference to the character's death in episode 5 of the Disney+ animated series, "Remember It."
Gambit hasn't fared very well in live-action so far. Taylor Kitsch made a brief appearance as Remy LeBeau in X-Men Origins: Wolverine, and while he did a decent enough job with what he had to work with, it wasn't exactly a memorable debut.
Later, Channing Tatum was all set to play another take on the mutant hero in a solo Gambit movie, but the plug was pulled when Disney took over 20th Century Fox's assets.

‘X-Men ’97’ was an unexpected hit for Marvel Studios. Following a series of flops in 2023 the studio really needed something to restore at least some of the faith that the franchise could be salvaged from a series of bad stories.
In comes ‘X-Men ’97’ a revival of the old ‘X-Men: The Animated Series.’ Fans were wonderfully surprised when the showrunners managed to keep faithful to the old show with new and modern twists.
One of the most important characters in the first season of the show was of course, Magneto voiced by Matthew Waterson. Matthew recently sat down with Phase Zero to talk about fan response to the show, Magneto stealing Gambit’s girl, and surprisingly, how Magneto would be able to wipe Thanos without too much struggle due to his mutant powers.
The voice actor was asked whether he would like to crossover with other MCU projects and he...
