While Hollywood movies like Don’t Look Up and The Day After Tomorrow have used climate change as the inspiration for some high-stakes storytelling, Hillary Clinton would like the entertainment industry to start thinking smaller. A lot smaller. Like, infant or preschooler small. Through the Clinton Foundation’s Too Small to Fail program, an early childhood initiative founded in 2014, the former secretary of state is now encouraging Hollywood writers and producers to embed ideas about young children and climate change in their films and TV shows.
“There’s now research on this topic, but most people are not aware at all,” Clinton says, of the idea that young children are especially vulnerable to extreme heat, stronger storms and wildfires. “Our hope is that we can help people make the connections between children’s mental and physical health and the impact of climate change.” Too Small to Fail already has some experience...

In the world of superheroes and their adversaries, few characters stand as iconic as Superman and his arch-nemesis, Lex Luthor. However, Tim Daly, who voiced Kal-El in Bruce Timm’s Superman: The Animated Series has shared a special affinity for another DC supervillain, who is often described as an anti-hero and a dark reflection of the Kryptonian superhero, Bizarro.
Superman: The Animated Series
He has made recurring appearances in the DC Animated Universe and has been voiced by numerous actors over the years. Daly also gave his voice to the character in The Animated Series, which offered him an insight into the character. The 67-year-old actor expressed empathy towards the villain, as he fondly recalled his time portraying the complex character.
Tim Daly Shared His Experience Working With Bizarro
Introduced in Superboy #68, Bizarro has been frequently seen as an antagonist clashing with Superman and has taken on the role of an anti-hero as well.

Early promotional efforts for Kobi Libii’s feature film debut “The American Society of Magical Negroes” failed miserably with Black social media due to a miscommunication of the film’s intent. At Sundance, where the film had its world premiere on Friday, invited a far more enthusiastic response.
The film is inspired by the “magical negro” trope, a Hollywood pattern of centering Black characters who cater to white characters originally credited to Spike Lee back in 2001. “The American Society of Magical Negroes” attempts to probe today’s race relations, highlighting the invisibility many people of color experience in the American workplace as well as other challenges.
There is a lot to like about Libii’s effort, particularly with the prolific Justice Smith leading the cast. Veteran comedic actor David Alan Grier, as well as Nicole Byer, An-Li Bogan, and Drew Tarver lend noteworthy assists.

Polish film and TV writer/director Agnieszka Smoczyńska's biographical film "The Silent Twins" is heading to Peacock. The movie is inspired by the book of the same name written by investigative journalist Marjorie Wallace. Published in 1986 under the title "The Silent Twins: A true story of love and hate, dreams and desolation, genius and destruction," Wallace's book is itself based on the true story of June and Jennifer Gibbons, twin sisters who only communicated with each other, and came to be known as "the silent twins."
Smoczyńska's film is heading to Peacock after getting a very limited theatrical release from Focus Features on September 16, 2022 -- meaning, this is probably the first time most people have even heard of the movie. So, before it joins acclaimed 2022 films like Scott Derrickson's "The Black Phone" on NBCUniversal's streaming service, here's everything you need to know about the film ahead of time.

After being forced to enter a hiatus earlier than planned due to Covid-19, we finally have a return date for Fear the Walking Dead.
AMC announced today that the second half of Fear the Walking Dead 6, featuring nine all-new episodes, will return on Sunday, April 11 at 9 pm/8c.
A new episode of Talking Dead will air later that evening, which probably means something huge is about to go down.
The talk-show spinoff typically airs after the episodes that feature the biggest drama, and given the way Fear the Walking Dead Season 6 Episode 7 ended, we're inclined to believe the drama will be off the rails for our characters as they navigate uncharted waters.
As has been the norm for a while now, new episodes of Fear the Walking Dead will also be available early on AMC+ each week.

Rebekah Graf (S.W.A.T.) is set for a recurring role opposite Keegan Allen and Jared Padalecki in the CW’s Walker, a reimagining of CBS’ long-running 1990s action/crime series Walker, Texas Ranger, from Rideback and CBS Studios. Like the original series, created by Albert S. Ruddy & Leslie Greif, the reboot, in which Walker is getting a female partner, will explore morality, family and rediscovering our lost common ground. Graf will play Crystal, a bright eyed, wild and charming woman, the type who married an unhinged criminal because he promised her an exciting life. She is reckless and lies with ease, but there is a humanity beneath her. Graf recently guest-starred on S.W.A.T. She played Heather Locklear in Netflix’s Motley Crue movie The Dirt and can next be seen in the indie feature Grace and Grit. Graf is repped by Media Artists Group, Matt Sherman Management and attorney Derek Kroeger.

20 best TV politicians ranked, including ‘The West Wing,’ ‘Veep,’ ‘House of Cards’ and more [Photos]
Another election year has rolled around, and it’s time again to muck our way through mudslinging to hopefully choose the right candidate to represent our views and our needs.
Throughout history, in our own country as well as the rest of the year, there have been great leaders who have left a mark and are remembered for accomplishments that helped their society to progress. However, there are also leaders who, in an effort to reach their own power-hungry goals, left their people to fend for themselves, often leaving a trail of destruction in their wake. On television, we have seen both types of government heads: President Bartlet, Lieutenant Governor DuBois, Secretary of State (later President) McCord, all of whom are flawed, but are trusted public servants with the best interest of the people at heart.

The final season of Criminal Minds has a premiere date.
The series will return for its 15th season Wednesday, January 8 at 9/8c.
CBS will give the show a two-hour premiere, and there will be another double episode down the line because the show is set to wrap Wednesday, February 19.
It's likely to be a two-hour finale, but there's no telling what the Eye network plans to do.
Seal Team is going on hiatus to accomodate Criminal Minds, and will return to the schedule February 26.
On the freshman front, FBI: Most Wanted will launch Tuesday, January 7 at 10/9c out of the original series.
That also means that NCIS: New Orleans is on the move.
The veteran NCIS spinoff will join NCIS: Los Angeles on Sundays once Madam Secretary wraps.
It will return to the air Sunday, February 16, meaning that there will be an extended hiatus from the holiday break to the new episodes.

Update, 1:25 Pm: Almost nobody loves statistics like NFL fans, and the league and NBC have one for you today straight outta Sunday Night Football.
The final numbers are in for last night’s white knuckler between the ultimately victorious Minnesota Vikings and the Dallas Cowboys – and they look good indeed when it comes to the math. Scoring an average of 23 million viewers on the Comcast-owned net, last night’s Snf is the 100th time over the past 10 years that NBC’s flagship NFL series has topped an audience of 20 million. To give a sense of how much of a dominance that is, the second show to get up past the 20 million mark over the past decade was American Idol during those halcyon days when it was on Fox. Idol got to 20 million viewers or more 69 times over 10 years as compared to 100 for Snf.

It may be a good thing that CBS is ending Madam Secretary.
The political thriller logged just 4 million total viewers and a 0.3 rating Sunday night.
The latter marks a new series low for the series.
God Friended Me (6 million/0.6 rating) was also on the down side, while NCIS: Los Angeles (6 million/0.6 rating) held steady.
Are you stll watching this trio of CBS dramas? Are critics still like them.
Over on The CW, Batwoman (1.2 million/0.3 rating) and Supergirl (0.9 million/0.2 rating) held steady. The pair of superhero dramas are probably coming in a little lower than CW expected.
However, these ratings are decent for the network in this day and age. Supergirl is recouping some of the losses year-to-year in delayed viewing.
The Simpsons (6 million/2.1 rating) perked up to match a season high in the demo, while Bless the Hearts (2.5 million/0.9 rating), Bob's Burgers (2.1 million/0.8 rating), and Family Guy (2.1 million/0.9 rating) were all up week-to-week.

With a strong “Sunday Night Football” showing on NBC and general stability across the TV ratings on Sunday night, things didn’t look so rosy for “Madam Secretary” on CBS.
The Tea Leoni show sank to a new series low 0.3 rating among adults 18-49, the previous low being a 0.38 achieved two weeks back. “60 Minutes” didn’t have the added benefit of CBS’ late-afternoon national NFL game this week, meaning its rating was down at a 0.8 from a 1.9 last time around. “God Friended Me” and “NCIS: Los Angeles” both scored a 0.6.
A riveting “Sunday Night Football” encounter between the Minnesota Vikings and the Dallas Cowboys performed strongly for NBC, drawing 19.9 million total viewers in the fast nationals (up from 19.3 million last weekend). As ever, that number is subject to significant adjustment given the nature of live sports.
Over on ABC, “Kids Say the Darndest Things” with Tiffany Haddish was back up to a 0.7 rating,...

CBS really could’ve used a late-afternoon NFL game on Sunday, though even that may not have saved “Madam Secretary” from hitting a new low in ratings with just a 0.3 among adults 18-49. As a result, CBS finished last in the key demo among the Big 4 broadcast networks last night.
NBC easily won another Sunday thanks to primetime football. Fox enjoyed the boost from featuring the late-afternoon matchup.
Due to the nature of live sports, the below fast-affiliate ratings for NBC and Fox should be considered subject to significant adjustment. Final Nielsen numbers will be out later on Monday.

Hansen's fight against Elizabeth just got dirtier.
On Madam Secretary Season 6 Episode 6, he made it clear that he wants to impeach Elizabeth solely because he doesn't agree with her policy decisions.
He was far from the only one attempting to subvert democracy for his own ends, but is anyone doing anything about it besides complaining that it's wrong?
It's hard to decide who was more irritating: Hansen or Chelsea, the decision-maker over at Ur-Vid.
(As a side note, I wish shows would be more creative with their mock social media names. Ur-Vid instead of Youtube? Really?)
So the only way to regulate the attacks on me, I need the help of the guy leading the attacks. I love the irony.

The Sunday Night Football showdown between the undefeated New England Patriots and Baltimore Ravens ended up great for NBC and the Ravens. Their pull-away 37-20 victory over Tom Brady’s team helped the network win the night in fast affiliate ratings with a 5.9 in the adults 18-49 demographic and 19.26 million viewers.
The ratings took a big eight-tenths jump from last week in the early numbers, somewhat expected considering the Patriots were taking center stage. As per usual, ratings for NBC and CBS will likely adjust in the finals due to NFL preemptions, but thanks to the high-profile Patriots NBC’s Football Night in America and Snf Pregame (5.1, 17.05M) were up considerably week-over-week, hyping fans ahead of the big game.

After shedding almost 1 million total viewers last week, “Kids Say the Darndest Things” with Tiffany Haddish bounced back last night in the TV ratings.
The ABC show regained almost all those viewers, ending up with 4.1 million as opposed to the 3.2 million that last week’s episode drew, and a 0.6 among adults 18-49. “America’s Funniest Home Videos” topped the night for the Disney-owned network with a 0.9 rating, while “Shark Tank” came in at a 0.6 and “The Rookie” at a 0.5. ABC ended up in a tie for third in the overall network rankings, behind the football-carrying NBC and the football-influenced CBS.
Sunday night was of course dominated by “Sunday Night Football” on NBC, which averaged a 5.0 rating and 16.4 million total viewers across its coverage of the Baltimore Ravens’ shocking victory over the previously undefeated New England Patriots. The game averaged 19.26 million total viewers in the fast nationals, up roughly 19% from...

Anya could have been a simple love story. But this love story packs an emotional punch with the help of science.
Anya is the first narrative feature from award-winning documentarians Jacob Akira Okada and Carylanna Taylor.
Their earlier endeavor, Painting the Way to the Moon, featured mathematician and artist Ed Belbruno and his discovery of a new way to space travel.
Given their love of science, it shouldn't be a surprise that their first feature explores science enveloped in a lovely romance.
Most couples meet, fall in love, get married, and begin their families. That's what Libby (Ali Ahn) and Marco (Gil Perez-Abraham) believe, too.
The Kominsky Method Season 2: There's Plenty of Life Left In the Netflix Engaging Comedy
But unbeknownst to Libby, Marco is hiding a secret about his heritage that gets unearthed after Libby suffered several miscarriages.
Her obsession with discovering a pattern to their disappointment finally...

Call it a food fight. A brawl on the set of the CBS drama Madam Secretary between a background actor and a craft services employee left the actor bruised, battered and no doubt still hungry. The incident happened when the actor cut into a craft services line in front of a waiting line of extras. Told by a female craft services employee to go to the back, the actor instead shoved her. That set off her husband, also a craft services worker, who threw the offender on the table and pummeled him, leaving him bloodied. He was taken to the local hospital by police for treatment. No arrests have been made. Deadline has confirmed the basics of the incident, which happened today on the show’s Whippany, NJ, set and first was reported by TMZ. Production was not impacted, and Madam Secretary producer CBS TV Studios has declined comment. The...

There was high drama on the Madam Secretary set on Friday, and it was most definitely not scripted.
According to TMZ, police were called to the set of the CBS drama series when a fight broke out among background actors.
This is said to have played out immediately after leading lady Tea Leoni filmed a scene in which she delivered a speech.
The outlet states that a background actor started a fight at the snacks and refreshments table. Yes, really.
Yes, this whole thing seemingly kicked off because of food.

Apparently, there were over a hundred background actors involved in the scene above, and things are said to have taken a horrifying turn when they "swarmed" the coffee and snacks table during a break.
TMZ says that one actor cut the line, and a female staffer on the set told him to get to the back.
