Julianna Margulies is speaking out against Hollywood for staying silent on antisemitism amid the Israel-Hamas war. The Emmy-winning actor attended the Variety Hollywood & Antisemitism Summit, presented by The Margaret & Daniel Loeb Foundation and Shine A Light, and said she is continually asking herself why many major Hollywood stars are not speaking out in support of Jewish people.
Margulies added that she’s “disheartened” by the silence, and she’s “trying to understand and work around why every single person in our industry isn’t standing up. I don’t understand. It is shocking.”

Jon Hamm’s Paul Marks, who burst into “The Morning Show” scene in Season 3, wasn’t inspired by just one tech mogul or finance billionaire, but he is certainly “an amalgamation” of Elon Musk, Mark Zuckerberg and other figures, according to executive producer Michael Ellenberg.
Marks — whom Cory Ellison (Billy Cruddup) courted professionally for a network-saving deal in which Marks acquires Uba — ranges from Jeff Bezos-level wealth and power, with his Hyperion One rocket and other space exploration endeavors (like Bezos’ Blue Origin), to Elon Musk-level shrewdness and tech surveillance background.
Ellenberg sees past the black and white into the gray area surrounding Marks, especially in Episode 6 when some dirt about him resurfaces as Alex (Jennifer Aniston) plans to interview him on her streaming series “Alex Unfiltered.”
“There’s no shortage of tech and finance billionaires who are taking swings inside traditional media, streaming, social media, etc.,” Ellenberg told TheWrap.

Subtlety is not a quality I’d associate with Apple TV’s The Morning Show. I never had a complaint about that, as the show works thanks to its hyper-melodrama, but when you are handling a story about credit stealing that led to a suicide attempt, some amount of sensitivity is probably needed. Not that the latest episode is any less entertaining than usual, but the approach it takes with this story doesn’t sit right with me. However, that’s just a personal opinion, and a recap article is not exactly the place to share my own viewpoints. But since I am doing it already, I should also mention that it is really frustrating to see this show continuing to portray Alex Levy as this messiah in the current season, and The Morning Show Episode 6 was no exception, sadly.

Let us start with a token of appreciation for British-Canadian artist Matt Maltese and his song “As the World Caves In”. There are chances of you coming across the more popular cover of the song by artist Sarah Cothran, who rose to fame thanks to covering a lot of popular tunes on TikTok. The Morning Show uses Sarah’s version throughout its latest episode in such a manner that the song works as a part of the narrative itself. As you are bound to search for it after finishing the episode and Google is going to show you the name of Sarah Cothran as the creator, I feel it is my responsibility to let you know the name of the original artist. Sarah’s version is fantastic, though, and fits right into the world of The Morning Show.

“The Morning Show” Season 3 has arrived, without sparing the drama and crazy events that fans have come to love about Uba. In the first two episodes alone, Bradley Jackson (Reese Witherspoon) goes into space instead of Alex Levy (Jennifer Aniston), and Uba gets hacked! Jon Hamm’s character enters the mix with no time to waste.
With an early renewal for Season 4, “The Morning Show” Season 3 moves along at a clip while fans know there’s plenty more to come. The network struggles in a post-covid world, so everything is up in the air, including Bradley, Paul and Cory when they ride the Hyperion 1 rocket into space to get a really good look at planet Earth.
For fans hoping to watch along, here’s a complete “Morning Show” Season 3 episode release schedule.

When The Morning Show returns, it’s two years after the events of the season two finale.
The timeline of the Jennifer Aniston- and Reese Witherspoon-starring Apple TV+ media drama had ended in March of 2020 with a no-filter, live broadcast from Covid-positive anchor Alex Levy (Aniston), who told her viewers to “stay safe and stay sane” as the country was unknowingly on the cusp of lockdown. Network boss Cory Ellison (Billy Crudup) had just confessed his love to anchor Bradley Jackson (Witherspoon), whose girlfriend, Laura Peterson (Julianna Margulies), escaped to Montana; and the crew of the series’ The Morning Show was preparing to deliver the news remotely amid the looming pandemic.

The Morning Show is finally back in all its glory for its third season. The Apple TV+ original series revolves around the battle between a veteran news anchor and a new talented face trying to gain supremacy over one another in the morning television industry in America. The series also focuses on issues like workplace sexual harassment.
The Morning Show initially premiered in 2019, as one of the first Apple TV+ originals. The series was a very expensive takeover for Apple TV+ but they had trust in the series and renewed it for the second season which concluded its run in November 2021, and after two years it’s finally back for its third season.

Apple TV’s The Morning Show, despite boasting a cast full of popular names from Jennifer Aniston to Reese Witherspoon to Steve Carell and now John Hamm, is never really considered to be a great show. The show does have a dedicated fan base, and it has received some love from The Emmys over the course of its first two seasons, mainly thanks to its star Billy Crudup picking up an “an outstanding supporting actor” trophy for his fantastic turn as Cory Ellison. But when people talk about the best TV shows, they do not consider The Morning Show at par with Succession, Better Call Saul, or House of The Dragon. That might just change after Season 3 Episode 2, which I would say is the greatest episode of the entire show and one of the best hours of television of the year 2023.

Note: This story contains spoilers from the first two episodes of “The Morning Show” Season 3.
Season 3 of “The Morning Show” premiered Wednesday, Sept. 13 with two episodes launching on Apple TV+. Dynamic duo Alex Levy (Jennifer Anniston) and Bradley Jackson (Reese Witherspoon) returned, but not exactly in the same roles as they were at the end of Season 2. The new episodes jumped forward in time to March 10, 2022 — about two years since we last saw the characters, with Alex fighting through Covid in front of the cameras during the early days of the pandemic in 2020.
Bradley has taken on the Evening News chair, which she coveted back when Eric Nomani (Hasan Minhaj) rose up in the ranks to helm the hard-hitting political coverage at Uba. Alex found new fame with “Alex Unfiltered,” her Emmy Award-winning special which stemmed from Chip’s idea to broadcast her live battle with Covid across the airwaves.

We now know the pandemic was just the beginning of the collective trauma the world has gone through these past few years. The chum bucket of issues that have politicized and weaponized humans against one another since 2020 often feels bottomless. Now, “The Morning Show” is here to recapture many of those harrowing moments with a third season that refuses to come up for air.
When Season 2 went dark, Alex Levy (Jennifer Aniston) had just been diagnosed with Covid. Her producer Chip Black (Mark Duplass) faked a positive test result to quarantine with her and film it all for Uba’s new streaming service. It was just the thing Alex needed to be “uncanceled” after the world learned she had slept with Mitch Kessler (Steve Carell).

Our favorite screaming match is back for another round. We are talking about The Morning Show, arguably Apple TV’s biggest show in terms of both prestige and boasting big names. The Jennifer Aniston-Reese Witherspoon starrer was pretty much a runway success from the start, thanks to all the high-pitched character drama between its two lead stars and everyone else as well.
Almost two years after the second season aired, The Morning Show is back for its third season. This time, it is sort of the need of the hour for the people who have a thing for the “people just talking loudly and that’s all we need” genre. HBO’s Succession has ended, and we’ll have to wait for God knows how long for FX’s The Bear, but thankfully, Apple TV is here to rescue us with this pressure cooker of a show. Before going into...

Last year Olivia Colman made history as the first woman to win a Best Drama Actress Emmy (for “The Crown”) after having received a Best Actress Oscar (for 2018’s “The Favourite”). More than a dozen other leading ladies preceded her in being awarded by both the film and TV academies, in that order, but she stands as the only one to earn her Emmy for a continuing drama series. Now, Reese Witherspoon could follow her example by succeeding on her first Best Drama Actress bid for Apple TV+’s “The Morning Show,” which has come 16 years after her lead Oscar win for “Walk the Line.”

There’s a new anchor coming to The Morning Show for Season 3. Apple TV+ has announced that Nicole Beharie has joined the cast of the drama for its third season. Apple TV+’s Morning Show is bringing back a familiar face for its third season.
Julianna Margulies will reprise her role as Uba news anchor Laura Peterson in the forthcoming season. As she did in season two last year, the Emmy winner will have a heavily recurring part on the series. News of Margulies’ return follows that of Jon Hamm joining the cast as a “corporate titan” who sets his sights on acquiring Uba.
The third season is in production now; a premiere date hasn’t been determined.
Margulies’ character shook up the dynamic between morning anchors Alex Levy (Jennifer Aniston) and Bradley Jackson (Reese Witherspoon) last season, eventually beginning a relationship with Bradley.
“I found her to be such a compelling, interesting character,” Margulies told The Hollywood Reporter during season two. “When you meet her, she’s already gone through the fire...

Earlier this year, the Apple TV+ series "The Morning Show" was renewed for a third season, with most of its ensemble cast members set to return. The show features Jennifer Aniston as news anchor Alex Levy and Reese Witherspoon as field reporter Bradley Jackson. It follows Alex struggling to keep her job when a rivalry begins to brew between her and Jackson; an impulsive decision-maker who is quickly rising to the top. The series is an unapologetic, outspoken drama that showcases the ruthless world of morning news through the lens of the people that work there. The series has often gone through last-minute rewrites to incorporate major, ongoing real-life events, including the #MeToo movement and the Covid-19 pandemic.
While the first season of "The Morning Show" followed Alex fighting hard to retain her job as the top news anchor after her on-air partner of 15 years, Mitch Kessler (Steve Carell), is...

There's plenty more daytime drama on the horizon. On Aug, 17, Reese Witherspoon confirmed that season three of Apple TV+'s The Morning Show has started production. The star and executive producer of the hit drama shared a photo from the set of the fictional daytime show, captioned: "We're baaaack! @TheMorningShow Season 3!" With the way things left off in season two, there's lots to be excited about. At the end of the show's second season, Uba network CEO Cory Ellison (Billy Crudup) finally revealed he had feelings for Reese's character Bradley Jackson, despite the fact that Bradley is currently in a relationship with news anchor Laura Peterson...

The addition of The Morning Show’s newest cast member Jon Hamm has “everybody excited.” Emmy-nominee Reese Witherspoon said Friday during an FYC event at The Edition hotel in West Hollywood.
As she prepared to begin production that same day, Witherspoon discussed Hamm joining for Season 3 as media mogul Paul Marks. “I might have gotten a lot of phone calls from my friends when they announced Jon Hamm,” she said.
“He is the greatest,” she added. “It’s such a good part too. You’re just going to get the full Hamm. Wait, that didn’t sound right,” she laughed.
“He is a very complex character,” she continued. “He’s a media mogul and he gives Billy Crudup a run for his money, which I think is the most fun part too, because Billy could eat a scene like I’ve never seen somebody eat a scene, and Hamm gets...

Don Draper is heading to Uba.
Jon Hamm is joining season three of Apple TV+’s The Morning Show.
Hamm, fresh from starring in Top Gun: Maverick, will play Paul Marks, a corporate titan who sets his sights on Uba, pulling Billy Crudup’s Cory, Jennifer Aniston’s Alex and Reese Witherspoon’s Bradley into his powerful orbit.
The third season of the drama series, which will see Charlotte Stoudt serve as showrunner, goes into production later this month.
It means that Hamm, who is nominated for an Emmy for Outstanding Commercial as part of a sarcastic ad that highlights that he has never starred in a project for Apple, finally joins the tech giant’s on-screen family.

In 1995, Julianna Margulies became the first — and it turned out, the only — regular cast member of “ER” to win an Emmy when she took home Best Drama Supporting Actress. Twenty-seven years later, she can add a second trophy in the category and join another elite group: a drama supporting actress winner for two shows.
Margulies is in sixth place in the drama supporting actress odds for “The Morning Show,” on which she recurred in Season 2 as Uba anchor Laura Peterson, who starts a relationship with Bradley (Reese Witherspoon). A victory would make her the 11th person to win the category more than once but just the second to do it for two different shows. Tyne Daly is the only one to accomplish the feat, having won for “Christy” in 1996 (she and Margulies beat each other for their wins) and for “Judging Amy” in 2003. All of the category’s other multiple...

After a seven-year run on The Good Wife, three-time Emmy winner Julianna Margulies is more selective than ever about where she lands. In joining The Morning Show as Laura Peterson, an anchor who, after being outed in the ’90s and losing her position at the titular show, re-emerges as one of the country’s top journalists, Margulies says the opportunity to portray an LGBTQ character at the top of her game was too good to pass up. Here, she discusses her chemistry with on-screen love interest Reese Witherspoon, a powerplay with Jennifer Aniston and the feeling of portraying extreme confidence.
Deadline: You can be really discerning in terms of work at this point in your career. What was it about The Morning Show that fulfilled your criteria?
Julianna Margulies: One, I was already a huge fan of the show. Two, I had never played a character like Laura Peterson.

Most known for her roles on “ER” and “The Good Wife,” Julianna Margulies knows what it’s like to be part of a TV show from the very beginning. In the case of Apple TV+‘s “The Morning Show,” however, the three-time Emmy winner had a different entry point, joining the acclaimed drama in its second season as Laura Peterson. “At first, I was a little bit intimidated — not by the cast, but just because I know what it’s like to already be in a moving machine that’s well oiled,” she tells Gold Derby in a new webchat in regard to boarding the show in Season 2 (watch our exclusive video interview above). But settling in was not difficult for the actor, who was already friendly with series regulars Jennifer Aniston, Reese Witherspoon and Billy Crudup and had previously worked with executive producer Mimi Leder and director Lesli Linka Glatter,...

Spoiler Alert: This story contains details of Tuesday’s series finale of Black-ish on ABC.
After eight seasons, Kenya Barris’ ABC comedy Black-ish came to a bittersweet end with the series-finale episode “Homegoing,” with the Johnson family selling their place so they could return to living in a Black neighborhood. It also turned into an opportunity for the cast and crew to, quite literally, dance in the street for a job well done. Here, Barris and showrunner Courtney Lilly discuss the comedy’s finale, what they hoped to accomplish, and what’s next for the franchise.
Deadline: The episode ends with a New Orleans jazz funeral to celebrate the end of their life, so to speak, in that mostly white neighborhood. And it was followed with dancing in the streets! Too bad the dancing didn’t go on for longer. It was great to watch.
Courtney Lilly: I know!

In 1998, past Screen Actors Guild Award winner Helen Hunt was honored by her acting peers a second time for the film “As Good As It Gets.” This made her the first woman to earn individual SAG Award prizes for both film and TV performances. She has since been followed by a dozen others, including both Patricia Arquette and Glenn Close in 2019. Now, 2006 Best Film Actress champ Reese Witherspoon (“Walk the Line”) is looking to become the 14th entrant on the list by prevailing for the drama series “The Morning Show.”
In this year’s drama actress race, Witherspoon faces her costar, Jennifer Aniston, as well as Jung Ho-yeon (“Squid Game”), Elisabeth Moss (“The Handmaid’s Tale”) and Sarah Snook (“Succession”). For only the second time in SAG Awards history, all five women are also included in the drama ensemble lineup, the final slot of which is filled by the cast of “Yellowstone.

Bad news first: Julianna Margulies can’t break the record for the most Screen Actors Guild Awards wins this year. Now the good news: She can tie it if “The Morning Show” wins drama ensemble.
An eight-time champ, Margulies was the first performer to reach that benchmark in 2011 with her second drama actress statuette for “The Good Wife” and was later joined by Alec Baldwin, whose eight wins includes a comedy actor seven-peat for “30 Rock.” They held the record until 2018 when Julia Louis-Dreyfus took home comedy actress and ensemble awards for “Veep,” setting a new record of nine wins.
Margulies, who recurred on the second season of “The Morning Show” as anchor Laura Peterson, was in play for two nominations this season, drama ensemble and actress. “The Morning Show” made the lineup of the former — after missing it for its debut season despite three individual bids — but Margulies was...

Apple has renewed the Jennifer Aniston- and Reese Witherspoon-fronted drama series for a third season. It comes after the second season launched in September and ran through November.
However, the glitzy workplace drama series will have a new boss for its third season.
Kerry Ehrin, who developed The Morning Show and served as showrunner on the first and second seasons, will step down as showrunner with Fosse/Verdon co-exec producer Charlotte Stoudt, who is also exec producing Netflix’s Pieces of Her, replacing her as showrunner. One of the hottest awards contenders of the year, Apple TV+’s “The Morning Show,” has just revealed to Gold Derby that a whopping 22 cast members will be eligible for the ensemble prize at the 2022 Screen Actors Guild Awards. Lead actresses Jennifer Aniston and Reese Witherspoon serve as bookends of the alphabetical list (see below), which also includes recent SAG Award nominees Steve Carell and Billy Crudup, plus new cast member (and guild queen) Julianna Margulies.

Warning: The following interview contains spoilers about The Morning Show’s season 2 finale episode “Fever”
Season one of AppleTV+’s The Morning Show ended arguably with Covid, and so does season 2. Jennifer Aniston’s anchor Alex Levy literally goes on air as she battles the virus, for what is a cathartic monologue before her viewership in the wake of being “canceled” following Maggie Brenner’s tell-all book about the host’s affair with her morning show co-host Mitch Kessler.
If you remember back on the season one finale, which dropped on Dec. 20, 2019, The Morning Show EP Kerry Ehrin was quite prescient about the invasion of Covid as Reese Witherspoon’s Bradley Jackson reports on a Papua New Guinea bound cruise ship which is delayed at port for four days of quarantine, carrying 5K passengers. The Morning Show is about to get a lot more dramatic, and that's saying something. In an exclusive first look at an upcoming episode airing Nov. 12, Alex Levy (Jennifer Aniston) asks Uba news anchor Laura Peterson (Julianna Margulies) point blank, "Why don't you like me, what did I do?" A frustrated Alex continues, "All I know is one day you and I were friends and then, the next day, you pretended like you didn't even know me." But Laura doesn't seem to remember it that way, as she returns with, "Do you remember what was happening around that time?" Although Alex recalls Laura was going through a tough time, she says that she thought that it would...

Believe it or not, Elisabeth Moss still doesn’t have an individual Screen Actors Guild Award to her name. A 15-time nominee, she has won twice as part of the “Mad Men” ensemble (2009-10), but she has lost all six of her solo bids, of which she earned two for “Mad Men” and and three for”The Handmaid’s Tale” (2018-20) for TV drama actress, and one for “Top of the Lake” (2014) for limited Series/TV movie actress. Back in the running for “Handmaid’s'” fourth season and currently in third place in our early SAG Awards odds, Moss is now vying her seventh individual nom and might have her best shot yet at finally taking home her first solo statuette.

Julianna Margulies is back on TV with “The Morning Show,” which means the former queen of the Screen Actors Guild Awards could soon reclaim her crown.
