Melissa Willering is a 21-year-old South African actress, well known for her role as Chrissie Bekker in the popular kykNET soap, "Getroud met Rugby". In 2015 she completed matric and in January of the following year she already joined the Bekker family, where she still portrays the role of this rebellious teenager.
She was born in Pretoria, where she completed both her primary and high school careers at a small private school, Dirk Postma. Under the guidance of Esther Bredenkamp she could live herself out by practicing drama classes as an extracurricular activity at high school. In 2014 she made her debut in the industry after she won the ATKV and "Villa Rosa" Sterrejag competition. Through this competition, she got the teenage role of Ilse Momberg.
Melissa isn't just an actress, she also has a special interest in art and is currently a final year student in BA Psychology at UNISA.
In 2019 she makes her film debut in the film, "Fiela se Kind". The film is directed by Brett Michael Innes and is based on Dalene Matthee's beloved novel. Melissa can be seen in September 2019 as the forest child, Nina van Rooyen
