Ben Rhodes, the former Deputy National Security Adviser to President Barack Obama, has raised concerns about Jared Kushner’s alleged corruption in his $3 billion investment fund, predominantly financed by foreign sources.
Kushner’s firm received a $2 billion investment from a Saudi sovereign wealth fund shortly after he departed from the White House, serving as a senior adviser to his father-in-law, Donald Trump.
During an interview with MSNBC’s Alex Wagner, Rhodes expressed his unease, “This is just putting a price tag on American foreign policy… This is a level of corruption that we’ve just never seen, and it’s hiding in plain sight.”
Earlier in the program, Wagner highlighted that Kushner’s firm had been involved with foreign interests and cited its engagements in hotel developments in Serbia and Albania. She inquired about the potential implications of Kushner’s “entanglement” with Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman on Trump...

When King Charles III decided to roll out his new “slimmed-down monarchy,” he probably didn’t envision two top working royals not being able to attend any public events for an extended period of time. But that’s exactly what happened when it was announced that the Princess of Wales (formerly known as Kate Middleton) needed a lengthy recovery time following abdominal surgery and the king himself was diagnosed with cancer.
This left Prince William and a few other family members stretched pretty thin as some of them have been doing multiple engagements a day. The Prince of Wales also needs to block out all the noise and wild conspiracy theories circulating about his wife’s absence from royal duties while carrying on his own.
Now, one commentator has said that William is leaning on an unlikely ally for support during this time.

Ah, it's good to be back in the Southside, where family dynamics are more fractured than ever, the cops are swarming, and Kanan Stark has finally begun to look like The Kanan Stark.
Power Book III: Raising Kanan Season 3 Episode 1 was a stellar start to another season of a series that has exceeded all expectations since its debut.
Things in Jamaica Queens have never been more unsteady, lines never clearer, and we've only just begun.
One of the best aspects of the premiere was the decision to drop us right back into the madness that was the final moments of Power Book III: Raising Kanan Season 2 Episode 10.
Where they could have easily employed a time jump, allowing wounds to heal and cooler heads to prevail, we dove right back into the aftermath of the mafia attack, with a badly injured Marvin literally taping up his would and Raq finding a way to cover her tracks.

The Crown is preparing for the end, and the trailer for the final six episodes brings to life what creator Peter Morgan has told audiences to expect from the hit Netflix drama: A love letter to the Queen.
The final episodes will draw to a close the genre-defining prestige royal saga that has been on screens since 2016, says the logline, and the footage centers around Queen Elizabeth, played by Imelda Staunton, as she battles sentimentality that the royal family is out of touch with the country, while reflecting on her reign as the longest-serving monarch in history and the life she put aside to become Queen.
In a poignant moment that speaks to the late Queen, The Crown‘s monarch says, “I will always be by your side.”
The series paused filming on the final season when Queen Elizabeth II died on Sept. 8, 2022 at the age of 96.

The latest film from The Witch, The Lighthouse, and The Northman writer/director Robert Eggers is a remake of F.W. Murnau’s 1922 silent classic Nosferatu (watch it Here), a project that was first announced eight years ago. The film’s 2024 release date hasn’t yet been announced, but the folks at Empire have unveiled a first look image, and you can check that out at the bottom of this article. The image features star Lily-Rose Depp (Yoga Hosers) and the (shadow of the) hand of the vampire Count Orlok, played in this film by Bill Skarsgard (It).
An unofficial adaptation of Bram Stoker’s Dracula, the original Nosferatu has the following synopsis: In this highly influential silent horror film, the mysterious Count Orlok (Max Schreck) summons Thomas Hutter (Gustav von Wangenheim) to his remote Transylvanian castle in the mountains. Spoiler Alert: This news story features details from Season 6 of The Crown
Exclusive: Netflix series The Crown has been accused of fabricating Mohamed Al-Fayed’s role in playing matchmaker to Princess Diana and Dodi Fayed.
Season 6 has dropped on Netflix and the opening episodes chronicle the burgeoning romance between Diana and Dodi in the sun-soaked surroundings of the Mediterranean.
Peter Morgan’s lavish royal drama repeatedly implies that the relationship was engineered by Al-Fayed, the late Egyptian business mogul, as part of his ambition to obtain British citizenship.
This allegation was refuted in 1997 and Michael Cole, Al-Fayed’s former spokesperson, has gone on record again to deny that his ex-boss was involved in Diana and Dodi’s fateful romance.

Blood flows plentifully throughout Ridley Scott’s Napoleon. It practically is a title card in the film’s opening sequence, which presages the rise of Napoleon Bonaparte, future Emperor of France, with the execution of Marie Antoinette. Her dripping severed head acts as a preview of coming attractions, and how the little man in the big hat would prove to be a matchstick to 19th century Europe’s powder keg of tensions. So yes, there is gore to Scott’s brisk 158-minute SparkNotes summary of the Napoleonic Wars. Battles too, if only in brief vignettes as we bear witness to flashes of the Battle of Toulon, the Battle of the Pyramids, the Battle of Austerlitz, and of course the Battle of Waterloo (we spend a little more time on that one).
And yet, the blood I speak of is not any R-rated accentuations of Scott’s reliably visceral battlefield sequences.

Review: Political series come in two distinct flavors. One is heavily action-oriented, with thrills rooted in espionage and chase sequences like The Night Agent. The other is the intricate palace intrigue housed within the halls of political machinations like House of Cards. Now and then, a third version comes into play that is not reliant on menace or action but manages to be engaging and aspirational, like in NBC’s acclaimed The West Wing.

All monarchs in the British royal family are presented with these items during their coronations. These artifacts are priceless and are hundreds of years old.
When the coronation regalia is not used, it is securely housed at the Tower of London.

No news would have been good news for the NCAA’s Pac-12 conference this week. Instead, a report from CBS outlined the difficulties the Pac-12 has been having in finding a broadcast partner that is willing to air more than 50% of its games.
Fewer games on broadcast TV means less exposure for school brands, making it more difficult to recruit top-flight players. The Pac-12’s media rights are set to hit the open market in 2024, and negotiations are being hampered by the fact that two of its most popular and recognizable schools — UCLA and USC — are leaving the conference in fall of 2024 for the Big Ten.
Reporting from The Athletic indicates even internal timelines for a broadcast deal have been thrown off. University of Arizona president Robert Robbins told that publication he thought a deal was mere weeks away in March, but now that estimate is being pushed back. Sources...

King Charles III’s coronation is a time for the royal family members, including Catherine, Princess of Wales, to dress their best to represent the monarchy. However, as Charles wishes for a more scaled-back ceremony, the family may take this as a sign to tone down the opulence associated with the event. This declaration could mean Prince William’s wife may or may not wear a tiara to her father-in-law’s coronation. Here are two reasons why she will wear a diamond-encrusted headpiece and one why she may not.

As the Princess of Wales, Kate will most likely wear a tiara for King Charles III’s coronation. Typically, tiaras are worn during formal white-tie events and occasions such as state banquets.

While she retired prematurely at the age of 39, Brigitte Bardot has left an indelible mark on France’s popular culture in the 1960s and 1970s. With her wild blonde mane, smoky eyes and pouty lips, Bardot became a symbol of a modern, effortlessly sexy French woman and a style emblem that continues to inspire current trends.
The event series “Bardot,” which is penned and directed by Daniele Thompson (“The Queen Margot”) and Christopher Thompson (“La bûche”), world premiered at Series Mania Festival to unanimous praise and has been pre-sold by Federation nearly worldwide.
“‘Bardot’ is like the French ‘The Crown’ because Bardot embodied France, and through her journey we reminisce about many parts of France’s history and popular culture in the 1950s and 1960s,” Federation’s boss and “Bardot” producer Pascal Breton told Variety. “That era is a historical moment where everything changes, where we go from black and white to color,...

Eight years after the project was first announced, writer/director Robert Eggers‘ remake of F.W. Murnau’s 1922 silent classic Nosferatu (watch it Here) is finally in production, with filming taking place in Prague. With the start of production comes the launching of a website, which you can check out at This Link – and which is currently quite low on content. But the website does include some information we haven’t covered here before: Eggers’ The Witch star Ralph Ineson and Simon McBurney are both in the cast!
McBurney has over 60 screen acting credits to his name, stretching back to the 1980s. In recent years he had roles in Carnival Row, The Pale Blue Eye, The Conjuring 2, and Mission: Impossible – Rogue Nation (pictured below).

King Charles III’s crown is prepping for an historic moment. On Saturday, Buckingham Palace announced that the monarch’s St. Edward’s Crown has been removed from the Tower of London in preparation for the Coronation set to take place on Saturday, May 6, 2023 at Westminster Abbey in London.
“The King will be crowned with St Edward’s Crown during the Coronation Service at @Wabbey on 6 May 2023. Made for King Charles II in 1661, the Crown has been removed from the Tower of London to allow for resizing work to begin ahead of the Coronation,” the tweet from the official royal family account read.
Charles’ crown was first commissioned in 1661 and is made up of a solid gold frame set with rubies, amethysts, sapphires, garnet, topazes and tourmalines. The crown has a velvet cap with an ermine band. Like the original, the crown includes four crosses-pattée and four fleurs-de-lis, and two arches.

Some of the best work in television has occurred in the limited series genre, and the 2022 contributions have been no exception, given how they commandeered the zeitgeist and outperformed the likes of the much-publicized House of the Dragon and The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power. We’re speaking, of course, of Dahmer – Monster: The Jeffrey Dahmer Story, Ryan Murphy’s 10-episode deep dive into the notorious serial killer. Aside from its clunky title, the Netflix series transfixed the true crime obsessed despite the surprisingly understated way it depicted the grisly murders.
Viewers were largely left to imagine what happened to Dahmer’s victims, a testament to the series’ chilling score and the extraordinary work of Evan Peters, Murphy’s longtime muse. Peters is a slam dunk for a nomination, if not for his co-star Niecy Nash as Glenda Cleveland, Dahmer’s next-door neighbor who heard the terrifying...

That John Major is one mighty hunk of man-meat,” said no one but Edwina Currie probably. Watch The Crown this season, though, and you’ll be foaming at the mouth in minutes over Britain’s most boring Pm. See, Major – who absolutely, categorically did not advise Prince Charles on whether to force his mother’s abdication in 1991, thank you very much – is played in The Crown by Jonny Lee Miller, an actor so flagrantly good-looking that even dressing him up in geeky spectacles and a floppy grey wig can’t extinguish the heat.
Inappropriate sexiness is The Crown’s métier. Here is a show that thought the perfect person to play famed demonoid Margaret Thatcher was Gillian Anderson, knowledge of whose overt, indubitable sex appeal has been passed down the generations like some kind of erotic folk tale. Prince Charles has been played by both the prolifically allergic-to-clothes Josh O’Connor and,...

John Major has hit out at Netflix’sThe Crown ahead of its depiction of him in season five.
The former Conservative prime minister, who was in office from 1990 to 1997, is being portrayed in the new season by Trainspotting star Jonny Lee Miller.
On Saturday (15 October), the politician’s spokesperson gave a statement, via The Telegraph, in which they dismissed rumoured plot lines as “nothing other than damaging and malicious fiction” and “a barrel-load of nonsense peddled for no other reason than to provide maximum – and entirely false – dramatic impact”.
Season five arrives on Netflix on 9 November, and will be set in the early 1990s. It will imagine conversations between Sir John and the Queen, the then Prince Charles and Princess Diana.
It has been speculated that Charles will be shown requesting the prime minister’s support for the Queen’s abdication.

Citing her desire to give them more control over their lives, Queen Margrethe II of Denmark has relieved four of her grandchildren of their royal titles, the royal palace revealed on Sept. 28.
"With her decision, Her Majesty The Queen wishes to create the framework for the four grandchildren to be able to shape their own lives to a much greater extent without being limited by the special considerations and duties that a formal affiliation with the Royal House of Denmark as an institution involves," the palace's statement read.
The queen originally bestowed royal titles on all of her grandchildren, per the palace's statement. The Crown may be a retelling of real events – but it’s also a work of fiction.
Netflix’s hit royal drama stirred up a wave of controversy when it released its fourth season in November 2020, attracting criticism from figures including former UK culture secretary Oliver Dowden.

The Crown may be a retelling of real events – but it’s also a work of fiction.
Netflix’s hit royal drama stirred up a wave of controversy when it released its fourth season in November 2020, attracting criticism from figures including former UK culture secretary Oliver Dowden.
Its depictions of a number of events in the life of the royal family have been scrutinised by viewers, with particular scepticism directed at scenes concerning Prince Charles’s (Josh O’Connor) relationships with Diana (Emma Corrin) and Camilla Parker-Bowles (Emerald Fennell).
However, the series has also spent time exploring the now King Charles III’s relationship with his mother, Queen Elizabeth II.
How exactly did The Crown depict this relationship on screen?
Several actors have portrayed Charles in The Crown at various stages of his life. Billy Jenkins played a young Prince Charles in season one and the first part of two, before...

On the day Senator Lindsey Graham suggested he'd like to enact country-wide abortion restrictions comes The Handmaid's Tale Season 5 Episode 1, and if that doesn't sink like a rock to the pit of your stomach, I don't know what will.
June has fallen victim not only to Gilead's rule and the atrocities that the "government" forced upon her, but now she's fallen victim to her moral compass.
For all that June has suffered, she's never been able to stamp out her hope for a better world.
That hope just might be the death of her.
Gleefully attacking Fred Waterford for all of the reasons she had, from his hand in creating Gilead to raping June to his treatment of Serena Joy and so much more, sated June.
Mark: I just came to say, um, well done. You did something terrible that needed to be done. I understand what that costs. May he rot in hell.

Say what you want about Marvin, and there's plenty to say, but it feels like he's trying to turn over a new leaf.
Anger management classes may have been court-ordered, but we've seen him take some of the teachings and apply them to his own life, which is a big step for him. And we've also seen him try, albeit sparingly, to make amends with Jukebox.
Giving his daughter some space has been the right move for Marvin, and as you'll see in this exclusive clip from Power Book III: Raising Kanan Season 2 Episode 4, he's very aware of his failures as a father and the destruction he's left in the wake of his actions.
One of the best qualities of Raising Kanan and all the Power Universe series is how multi-faceted the characters are. And Marvin may have started the series as the slightly inept comic relief, but he's shown...

Viewers of The Crown will know that ‘Operation London Bridge’ – the term used to describe the complicated plan for what happens after the death of the British monarch – has already swung into effect.
After the Queen died yesterday at her Scottish castle Balmoral, her eldest son immediately became King Charles III. He will address the nation today, before returning to London with his wife, Camilla – now Queen Consort.
The Queen’s coffin will be brought to London and placed in Westminster Hall, where thousands of her subjects will be able to file past and pay their respects.
After the Queen Mother died in 2002, more than 200,000 people came to attend her in the same place.
At some point in the next fortnight, on a hastily arranged public holiday for the whole country, the Queen’s funeral will take place in Westminster Abbey, only a few hundred yards away from the Hall.
