ABC News Studios’ ‘Death in the Dorms’ returns for season 2
Season two of ABC News Studios’ true crime drama Death in the Dorms will return for season two on Thursday, February 22, 2024. ABC News Studios also announced two brand new docuseries – Daughters of the Cult and Me, Hereafter – will stream on Hulu next year.
Season one of Death in the Dorms premiered on January 5, 2023 and included investigations of Western Kentucky University, University of South Carolina, University of Florida, and UCLA. ABC News Studios’ Carrie Cook executive produces along with Myles Reiff, Yes, Like The River’s Nile Cappello, and The Intellectual Property Corporation’s Eli Holzman and Aaron Saidman. ABC News Studios’ David Sloan is a senior executive producer.

Exclusive: ABC News Studios continues to provide true-crime docuseries to Hulu.
The studio is behind two new series for the streamer including Daughters of the Cult and Me, Hereafter as well as a second season of Death in the Dorms.
It is the third slate of true-crime docs from ABC News Studios since its 2022 launch and follows series such as Killing County, Betrayal: The Perfect Husband and three seasons of Wild Crime.
Daughters of the Cult, which launches on January 4, is a five-episode deep-dive into the history of a splinter group of Mormon fundamentalist cult members who perpetrated a deadly wave of violence and abuse for decades in the name of their fanatical prophet, Ervil LeBaron. Dubbed the “Mormon Manson,” LeBaron and his followers were hidden in plain sight throughout the Southwest and Mexico. Now, past members of the infamous cult tell the true story behind the string of murderous crimes.

Travel Channel is reviving “America Unearthed,” which originally aired on A+E’s H2 channel. Geologist Scott Wolter will return as host.
America is a burial ground for secrets of our past. Artifacts and strange finds offer opportunities to discover a history of our country that we don’t know, per Travel. Wolter believes that some of the history we’ve been taught is wrong and he is on a mission to prove it. Now, Travel Channel is breathing new life into “America Unearthed,” updating the format for its new network home and allowing Wolter to continue his quest to establish what really happened and set the historical record straight.
The original “America Unearthed” aired from 2012 to 2014. Its three seasons tallied 18 episodes.

America Unearthed has found a new home. The documentary series, which previously aired on A+E Networks-owned H2 has moved to Discovery’s Travel Channel.
This comes after H2 was rebranded to Viceland in 2016.
Travel Channel has ordered ten episodes of the show, which is hosted by original host Scott Wolter. The show follows the geologist, who investigates mysteries and artifacts believed to reveal an alternative history of the North American continent before the United States
The series is produced by Committee Films. It is exec produced by Andy Awes and Maria Awes and Daniel Schwartz.

ABC has announced the second season of its 20/20: In an Instant TV show premieres Saturday, June 18, 2016 from 9:00 to 11:00pm Et/Pt. Season two of the two-hour docudrama series will run for six weeks, from the premiere through the July 23rd season finale.
