Emiliano Penelas was born in Buenos Aires, Argentina, on July 18, 1977.
He graduated as Cinematographer from the National School of Cinema
(ENERC) dependent on the National Institute of Cinema and Audio-visual
Arts (INCAA) of Argentina. He was Director of Photography of the
full-length films "Pepe Núñez; luthier", directed by Fermín Rivera;
"Furtivo" (Poacher) (in post production), directed by Nicolás Tannchen;
and the short film "Lo llevo en la sangre" (On my blood) (from the
feature film "Short stories IV"), directed by Pablo G. Pérez. Now he's
shooting the full-length documentary "Traces and memories of Jorge
Prelorán" with Fermín Rivera, and the fiction "Three ways to Rome",
with Sergio Corach. He co-directed, as member of the May 1st
Documentary Group, the full-length documentary "Matanza", together with
Nicolás Batlle, Rubén Delgado and Fernando Menéndez. He lives in Buenos
Aires.
