The Indian adaptation of the popular Israeli action-thriller series ‘Fauda’ is returning with its second season. The second season will retell a tale of the Indian Army’s many counter terrorist operations in the Kashmir Valley, in greater detail.
This is much like how ‘Fauda’ covered the Israeli Defence Forces’ covert operations against the terrorist organisation Hamas.
The first season of ‘Tanaav’ followed a black ops group of the Indian Army, the Special Task Group, carrying out operations against the Pakistan Army sponsored terrorist organisation Harkat-ul-Mujahideen.
It also showed the separatist activities in Jammu & Kashmir, as well as the inflow of weapons and finances to the terror groups from various outposts in Saudi Arabia, Pakistan and Turkey.
‘Tanaav’ tells the story of how the Indian Armed Forces dealt with terrorism in the Valley, in a dramatised fashion, intricately weaving tightly knit action with the emotional stories of compelling characters caught...

Also advancing to their respective finals were Services heavyweight boxer Sanjeet, Punjab’s Simranjit Kaur and Mandeep Kaur, national championship silver medallist duo of Ankit Sharma and Minakshi of Haryana while Assam’s Ankushita Boro set up an exciting Northeastern derby with Manipur’s Alena Thounaojam for the 66kg welterweight category title.

Gandhinagar, Oct 4 (Ians) Tokyo Olympic Games bronze medallist Lovlina Borgohain’s last-minute entry in the 36th National Games will spice up competition in the boxing ring at the Mahatma Mandir here from Wednesday.
Lovlina, who suffered a minor injury on her nose during the selection trials for the Asian Championships, had earlier indicated that she would not be able to compete in the Games.
A poor outing at the World Championships earlier this year, followed by a pre-quarterfinal exit from the Birmingham Commonwealth Games, did not do justice to the lanky Assamese boxer’s potential.
Thus, the National Games could provide the two-time World Championship 69kg bronze medallist a perfect platform to assess herself ahead of the continental meet, starting on October 30 in Amman, Jordan.
Boxing Federation of India Secretary-General Hemanta Kumar Kalita said the Federation had requested the organising committee to allow the change of entry. “Initially the doctors...

Hostages 2(Disney-Hotstar)
Starring Ronit Bose Roy, Divya Dutta
Directed by Sachin Krishn, Series Director Sudhir Mishra
It is amazing how far Hostages 2 stretches its wings without the fear of flying. The second season builds on the frenzy of the first ,keeping alive the faith and the tumult by powering and peppering the plot with a serpentine cue of surprise and shocks that take us through a startling labyrinth of conception deception and denouement.
This time the ever-dependable Ronit Bose Roy is on the opposite end of the hostage situation , Holed up in an ancient bungalow which has seen better days, Ronit’s Prithvi Singh and his associates hold the chief minister(Dalip Tahill, who somehow doesn’t look the part) hostage while the negotiators outside include a thoughtful Divya Dutt and a blustering Kanwaljeet and an Adil Hussain lookalike(Sachin Kurrana) .
