What makes a good leader?
If we were all transported back to fourth grade, there would be a plethora of answers, ranging from dependable to courageous to strong. They're solid answers, but they're superficial because a leader in one situation may have to be something else entirely in another.
From Season 2 Episode 4 brought the idea of leadership into clearer focus and expanded upon that fundamental question: What makes a good leader in the middle of a nightmare?
Boyd has been a constant in that town, and he stepped up to lead when the residents desperately needed one. In a town like that, you need someone to take on the responsibility of authority, or everything would be nonstop chaos.
It's already chaotic enough in that town, and at least with a Sheriff, there was a form of accountability and structure to make things feel, for lack of a better word, normal.

I am certainly ready for the return of Raylan Givens in Justified: City Primeval, but could this be the last time we see our favourite marshal? As Justified: City Primeval is being billed as a limited series, showrunner Dave Andron told Entertainment Weekly that the stakes are high enough that Raylan Givens might not make it out alive.
“If you’re bringing Raylan back, you put him up against a really, really bad guy who doesn’t have any problem killing people, because Raylan could die,” Dave Andron said. “This is a limited [series] and Raylan could very well not make it out of this. Every season we ended the show with ‘You’ll Never Leave Harlan Alive,’ but then he does. Right up until the end of the show, you know Raylan’s not going to die, and obviously he did not at the end. But I think, at this point,...

Given the long history of the music industry and the vast amount of recorded songs, it isn’t surprising that many musicians have been accused of plagiarism over the years. Artists like Ed Sheeran have recently gone to court over these issues, but some musicians settle out of court. Here are five musicians who have landed in trouble after being accused of plagiarism.
Dolly Parton | Richard E. Aaron/Redferns George Harrison
After The Beatles broke up, George Harrison became the first member of the band to get a No. 1 hit. The song “My Sweet Lord” brought him success but also drew comparisons to another popular song. It sounded remarkably similar to “He’s So Fine” by the Chiffons.
The song’s publisher agreed and, in 1971, sued Harrison for copyright infringement. In 1976, a judge ruled that Harrison had subconsciously copied the song. While he said he didn’t feel guilty, the case rattled him.

After the eventful second episode of the second season, MGM+’s sci-fi thriller series From slows down the pace to better settle all the new characters and realign some plot points from the first season. In the previous episode, we saw Boyd getting back into the town after the mysterious person shackled in chains. infected him with skin-crawling worms. A number of people lost their lives because they were unaware of the dangers of nocturnal shapeshifting monsters, including the newcomer bus passengers and the town barkeep Tom, who was stuck inside the collapsed house of the Matthews family. Tabitha and Victor found their way out of the underground maze, which was the resting place of the monsters, and along with Boyd and a newcomer named Elgin, they finally made it back to town in the morning. We also saw a newcomer couple, Brian and Kelly, responding to unknown persons at...

After leaving the fates of major characters dangling with a cliffhanger of an ending in the finale of the first season, MGM’s “From” has returned with its second season, which has raised more questions than it’s answered. In the final episode of the first season, we saw Boyd and Sara venturing further into the wilderness to find an escape route for the residents of the hellish town, and as the duo reached the farthest point, they spotted a lighthouse. With worsening weather and lessening daylight, they became concerned about shelter, and the mysterious boy dressed in white communicated with Sara and asked both of them to seek refuge inside a faraway tree. Boyd enters and gets transported to a deep drywell in an unknown location. Meanwhile, at the Matthews household in town, Tabitha searches through the hole in the basement and ends up at the lowest level after it collapses further.

Be brave, they said. Be brave? In This Economy?!
The one thing you can't say about any of the unlucky residents of the worst town in existence is that they aren't brave! And yet From Season 2 Episode 1 called on so many of them to be even braver than usual, as things were spiraling steadily throughout the hour.
Welcome back, #FROMily! I've missed you.
One thing about From is that they will give you that detailed 'Previously On…' montage, and I, for one, will eat it up every single time. Because it's been a minute since we left things, and I needed the reminder about the character's various states of distress.
The main one being Boyd, who hopped in a tree and ended up in what looked like a chimney of some kind.
Not much had changed since we left him there, and the series decided to spend pretty limited time with him here,...

It is said that places change people. Just like the place someone belongs to shapes up their worldview and psyche, similarly, the ability to adapt to a place that subscribes to unfavorable characteristics, or lack thereof, can affect people differently. Epix’s mystery horror series “From” examines that as the setting of the narrative itself plays the role of a character that oppresses its inhabitants to their breaking point—to such an extent that, bereft of hope, the prospect of escaping seems as fantastical to some as the fear of change, even from a nightmarish existence, grasps others. The series definitely takes elements from the popular supernatural survival series of yesteryear, “Lost” and probably as a nod to that, Harold Perinneau, who played the role of Michael Dawson in “Lost,” also plays the lead role of Sheriff Boyd Stevens in “From.” As the second season of the series is about...

MGM+ celebrates “Halfway to Halloween” this weekend with the premiere of “From” Season 2 on April 23.
The propulsive mystery box horror series hits the ground running this season, picking up immediately where season one ended to plunge the characters into new unsettling horrors (our review).
That’s terrible news for Boyd Stevens (Harold Perrineau), the sheriff of the isolated township that traps all who enter. Season one saw the pragmatic leader attempt to expedite finding a way out of the town with help from an unlikely source due to the early-onset symptoms of Parkinson’s. The season ended with Boyd getting lured into one monstrous spider web, attacked, then shoved into a tree that trapped him in a deep well with no apparent way out.

Season one of MGM+s’ propulsive horror series “From” wasted no time going straight for the jugular and maintaining intensity throughout. It culminated in a ruthless shattering of hope for its wayward characters just as a bus of new characters arrived. “From” Season Two hits the ground running, picking up where the inaugural season left off to compound the mysteries, drama, and relentless horror.
After receiving a warning just as a storm rolled in out of nowhere to decimate the group’s plans to establish contact with the outside world, Jim Matthews (Eion Bailey) rushes home to save his wife Tabitha (Catalina Sandino Moreno), unaware that she’d already fallen into the gaping sinkhole beneath their house. Not only do we have Rachel Weisz and Alice Birch on this week's show to talk all about Prime Video's resurrection of '80s Cronenberg thriller Dead Ringers, but Melanie Lynskey joins us for an update on how Yellowjackets Season 2 is going. Plus the team head off to A&e with Niamh Algar in Malpractice on ITV, and try a little oenology with Apple's manga adaptation Drops Of God. All of which leads to a slightly anarchic discussion of super-tasters, Boyd's tea-making technique, and the time Kay knocked herself out with Sambuca shots.

Plot: The series unravels the mystery of a nightmarish town that traps all those who enter. In season two, hidden truths about the nature and terrifying origins of the town begin to emerge, even as life for its residents is plunged into chaos by the arrival of mysterious newcomers.
Review: There are few things as entertaining as a great mystery series. When Lost debuted in 2004, every network tried replicating the balance of serial storytelling, mystery box thrills, and cliffhanger endings. The problem many of those series encountered were characters that audiences did not connect to. MGM+ series From, created by John Griffin, benefited from the skills of various cast and crew from Lost to help turn it into a hit when it premiered last year. Now, the second season of the series expands the ensemble and follows the Lost pattern by deepening the town’s mysteries surrounded by supernatural predators...

There are several reasons why "Justified" is one of the finest series of the Peak Television era. The show captured the snappy repartee and peculiar characterizations of the Elmore Leonard stories on which it was based, and was cast to utter perfection. We savored every second we spent in the hotbed of Bluegrass criminality that is Harlan County, and were sad to see it close out after six seasons. But endings are important. They're necessary. And "Justified" is one of the few shows that knew precisely when to end its run.
As much as I love "The Sopranos" and "Mad Men," these shows strained a bit down the stretch. "Justified" always kept its plates spinning. After establishing the Givens-Crowder feud in the first season, creator Graham Yost and his writers expertly fleshed out their world with fascinatingly eccentric villains like Wynn Duffy (Jere Burns), Robert Quarles (Neal McDonaugh) and Katherine Hale...

Through six seasons exploring the thin line between law enforcement and the criminals they chase, FX's "Justified" introduced a handful of villains for U.S. Marshal Raylan Givens (Timothy Olyphant) to hunt down across the rough-and-tumble Kentucky landscape. Memorable turns by Margo Martindale as the whip-smart bootlegger Mags Bennett and Michael Rapaport as the conniving, drug-dealing Daryl Crowe Jr. helped populate the series with threatening characters that always wound up being much more clever than you might expect. Sam Elliott also made a rare turn as the legendary gangster Avery Markham in the final season. Eight new episodes are on the horizon with the upcoming "Justified: Prime Evil," which will see Raylan testing his old cowboy ways in the city of Detroit, where he will be pitted against a new adversary known as "The Oklahoma Wildman" (Boyd Holbrook).

In the 1960s, The Beatles were the biggest band in the world, and their fans were willing to do anything to feel closer to them. This included breaking into their homes. While this seems like an extreme action to take, it happened more than once. Here are three times Beatles fans broke into their homes and stole things.

Before George Harrison and his first wife Pattie Boyd married, she had moved a number of items into his home. His property had a high fence, but fans still managed to make their way onto the grounds.
“The gate was operated manually, though, and it wasn’t long before the marauding fans discovered where George lived,” she wrote in her book Wonderful Tonight. “Hordes of girls used to hang about outside, waiting for me to go out.

Did The Beatles hold back George Harrison? We’ll never know, but Bob Dylan said George would have been as big as any musician with or without the band. Still, being a Fab Four member had its perks, such as meeting models, actors, and other musicians. When he met Pattie Boyd, George needed only a week and four words to begin his relationship with the person who later became his wife.
