Black Women Animate Studios (Bwa) and The Titmouse Foundation are joining forces and have announced their plan to support Bwa’s goal of hiring 200 diverse animation professionals by the end of 2025. To reach this goal, the pair will introduce Bwa’s new Equity Excelerator, a talent development program consisting of a series of events, content creation, online learning, and visibility opportunities for historically underrepresented and diverse talent.
In its 5 years in the animation business, Bwa has fast-tracked diversity in animation, already having met 20% of its hiring goal. Black Women Animate studios has partnered with non-profit the Titmouse Foundation to help further the animation house’s goal of hiring 200 diverse animation professional by the end of 2025. Together, the organization and studio will launch Bwa’s Equity Excelerator program, which offers event series, online practicums and networking opportunities.

Abdullah is an award-winning executive producer with more than 15 years of experience in the advertising and entertainment industry. Specializing in animation and VFX, she has spearheaded production across all platforms for globally renowned brands including Delta Air Lines, HBO, CNN, Sesame Street, PBS Kids, Cartoon Network and Nickelodeon — from immersive VR to TV & games. Before joining Bwa Studios, she led creative production as a Series Producer at 9 Story Media.
