The journalist received a warm welcome from her Today show co-anchors Matt Lauer and Al Roker when she returned to the NBC morning show on Monday after nearly three months at home with her newborn son, Charles “Charley” Max Feldman.
Playing off of that now infamous Oscars mixup, Lauer announced Guthrie’s return by opening an envelope. After feigning disbelief, Guthrie sauntered out in a black and red dress to applause.

The Today anchor had a lot to celebrate this holiday season. She and her husband Michael Feldman welcomed their second child — son Charley — just 19 days ago, while 2-year-old daughter Vale has finally caught on to the magic of Santa Claus.
On top of all of that? Guthrie’s birthday. She turned 45 on Tuesday.
“I just felt like all my gifts were in my arms not under the tree,” Guthrie said during a call into Today Tuesday, looking back on her holiday. “I really have not stopped feeling so much gratitude.”

The TV icon will guest host Today in January for a week, taking over for Savannah Guthrie while she’s on maternity leave, according to Deadline.
Couric’s temporary gig – reuniting her with Matt Lauer – kicks off Jan. 2.
Before moving on to CBS Evening News – which she anchored until 2011 – Couric was Today‘s co-anchor from 1991–2009. The 59-year-old is now Yahoo’s global news anchor.
