- Growing up on the east coast, Shawn Barber enjoyed acting in musical theater throughout his childhood. As a teenager, he directed younger kids in community productions. At age 17, he landed a hosting gig on a local TV show. His credits now include film, television, theater, industrials, commercials, videos and print, as well as casting for feature films and commercials. His first big acting break was a lead role as a series regular on a dramatic series for FOX called "The Guilt," starring George Hamilton. He especially benefitted from an opportunity to work in Mexico City, where he gained extensive experience as a commercial model and actor. He's been in countless international TV commercials in Latin, Central and South America, as well as Japan, for products such as Bic, Coca-Cola, Kentucky Fried Chicken, Kleenex, and Polaroid. He recently held a national TV spot & print ad in the U.S. for Acuvue Contact Lenses. Combining his bilingual skills with impeccable comic timing, Shawn was cast in a hit Spanish sketch-comedy TV show for NBC Telemundo. His most recently completed roles are a nasty, yet comical British thief in the feature film "The Prince, the Pimp, the Jackal & the Spayed," and the Superhero Delivery Guy for Nickelodeon's "iCarly."- IMDb Mini Biography By: anonymous
- He has a degree in International Business and he is 100 percent bilingual. Speaking fluent Spanish, he is a certified translator and interpreter.
- He is also an accomplished fine artist, who specializes in drawing faces and caricatures. One time in high school, his Chemistry professor got his hands on some inappropriately comical cartoons that he had drawn of several teachers. When showing the drawings to the rest of the faculty, they were too impressed to be angry, and they laughed hysterically. So he was complimented instead of reprimanded.
