Siddarth Nair is a Toronto based filmmaker of South Asian Origin. He was born in Kerala, India where he learned his passion for Visual arts. As he grew older he recognized his skills as a multidisciplinary artist and expanded his wings into digital art, photography & film-making. Siddarth's films often focus on South Asian stories and characters. During his high school his documentary film, 'High
school - Hip-Hop' was recognized in an International film festival in Qatar(THIMUN), Representing Canada. He went to York University for Film Production BFA, during his years he wrote and directed three fiction films, VISITING GRANDMA (2015) CURRY(ARTHOUSE/DRAMA){2017}, BLEEDING HEART (DRAMEDY) {2019} which was screened & recognized at numerous film festivals. Siddarth is currently working as a freelance video-content creator focusing on narratives, commercials, music-videos & social media content creation. He works as an Art Director, Producer, Editor for numerous other productions as well.
He is recent directorial consist of FRIENDLY VIST (HORROR /THRILLER) 2022, CA-YA-TE (CRIME-THRILLER) 2023/ Proof of concept short film in Post- Production. He is currently developing a lifestyle food series, VANISHING COOKBOOK (in-development) and is a recent recipient of Canadian Arts Council - Research and creation grant to write and develop a feature length script for his original idea CHASSING CURRY.
