Tyler Rivenbark

Born and raised in North Carolina, Tyler Rivenbark received his MFA in Playwriting from the Queens College, CUNY. Select theatrical works include Soldier/Woman (New Ohio, NYC), hands (The Bushwick Starr, Brooklyn), and Silence (Dixon Place, NYC). He has received a Poetry Society of America commission to adapt Rita Dove's Pulitzer Prize-winning book of poems, Thomas and Beulah. He was a writer-in-residence at the Louis Armstrong House Museum and the Orchard Project Episodic Lab. His work across theatre, TV and film has been recognized by the Bay Area Playwrights Festival, the Eugene O'Neill National Playwrights Conference, Playwrights Realm Fellowship, American Shakespeare Center, Final Draft and the Academy Nicholl Fellowship, among others.
