Back in September 2015, Machinima announced it would create exclusive video content for Verizon’s mobile video platform go90. Now, the self-described “many-2-many” network has revealed its first series for go90 will be Street Fighter: Resurrection, which will debut in March 2016.
Street Fighter: Resurrection is a sequel to Machinima’s 2014 web series Street Fighter: Assassin’s Fist, which was based on Capcom’s Street Fighter video game series. Assassin’s Fist managed to pull in over 17 million views total. Machinima’s five-part Resurrection mini-series will be set ten years after Assassin’s Fist, and star Alain Moussi (Suicide Squad, Pacific Rim) as iconic Street Fighter Charlie Nash. It’s unclear whether or not Resurrection is meant to serve as the previously-announced sequel to Assassin’s Fist, or if the go90 series is an all-new addition to Machinima’s Street Fighter franchise.

The creators of "Street Fighter: Legacy" are looking for help to fund their next project, the Capcom-approved "Street Fighter: Assassin's Fist."
Joey Ansah and Chris Howard are two guys who apparently really, really love "Street Fighter." So much so, that after completing and releasing "Legacy" about three years ago, with the help of their producer Jacqueline Quella, the duo acquired the option for the franchise from publisher Capcom to produce "Street Fighter: Assassin's Fist."
Since then, they've gone on to raise independent financing for their production budget, but now they're reaching out to the fan community for the £625,000 (nearly $1 million Usd) to get "Assassin's Fist" made. Ansah says that at this point, the scripts are complete and they've begun staffing up for the production as well as casting, bringing aboard veteran Japanese actor Togo Igawa ("The Last Saumurai), with production set to start later this year with a planned winter 2013 release.

Entering BAFTA HQ can be quite exciting, even if you’ve had the pleasure of entering it’s prestigious doors previously. When asked to attend an extremely special screening of a new short entitled Street Fighter Legacy, my experience was no different.
I’ll try and cut to the chase, but it’s always important to set the scene, so for a moment please humour me. Upon arriving we were ushered upstairs to the third floor into a beautiful open plan room, with a bar and numerous old school film posters including a Blade Runner quad which I was wondering if they would miss… We were handed all manor of beverages, but I have been known to have the bladder control of a four year old girl when I get excited, so I was reluctant to smash the free booze. I had a quick chance to mingle with other media...

Not pleased with the many gawd-awful Hollywood adaptations of video games, Joey Ansah, an actor/filmmaker and huge fan of the Street Fighter video game series has put together a short film adaptation of his own with Street Fighter: Legacy. You may have seen Joey before in The Bourne Ultimatum as "Desh", a Blackbriar assassin who goes up against Matt Damon in Morocco. Here's a statement on his intention and the people involved in the production:
As an actor, filmmaker and fan, I have been disappointed by the many diluted, unfaithful and outright butchered movie adaptations of fighting video games. It was clear to me, that given the way the movie industry worked, we would never see a super faithful, darker toned and more adult themed (or just plain good!) incarnation of Street Fighter unless a die-hard director or filmmaking team with game canon knowledge stepped up to the...
