This is not a cartoon war. I should get that out of the way first; as this is simply a look at two of the best cartoon characters of all time. That is my opinion anyways and after watching every single episode of The Simpsons and King of the Hill – how could anyone disagree? As two of the best animated shows ever, The Simpsons and King of the Hill will forever be in comparison to shows past, present, and future. I just felt like tossing my two cents out there; and this is in no way a definite biography either, it’s just a fan rant.
People will say that The Simpsons has past its due date and that new shows like Family Guy are the new gems to watch. Well, watching the Simpsons these past years,...

It appears that things refuse to remain sleepy in Shonda Rhimes’ Seattle, seeing as the Season 10 opener will involve a group of firefighters. There may also be a bit of a “two-parter” feel to...

Obsession, friendship and loyalty are a dangerous mix, and the brew has provided a backdrop to countless thrillers because the concoction is always potent. This summer, an upcoming indie thriller mixes those ingredients up to deliver "Breaking The Girls" and as it gets ready to make its debut, we have the exclusive poster for the film. Directed by Jamie Babbit ("But I'm A Cheerleader," "The Quiet"), starring Madeline Zima (“Californication," “Heroes”), Agnes Bruckner ("Anna Nicole," "The Woods") and inspired by Patricia Highsmith's "Strangers On A Train," the sexually charged story follows two young women -- Sara and Alex -- who form a pact to murder each other's bitter enemy. Sara will kill Alex's stepmother, while Alex will dispose of Brooke, a woman who humiliated Sara and cost her a scholarship at the school she attends. But as usual, things don't always work out as they should... After playing Frameline in San Francisco,...

TLC is renewing freshman reality series Welcome to Myrtle Manor for a second season, EW can exclusively report. But after three members were arrested during the past week, it’s unclear if the whole crew will return.
Welcome to Myrtle Manor follows the adventures of a group of South Carolina trailer park residents and has averaged 1.1 million viewers this season. TLC has picked up 10 more episodes from producers The Weinstein Company and Jupiter Entertainment.
Yet over a three-day period last week, a trio of cast members were locked up, and each for separate incidents. Amanda Lee Adams was arrested early...

"Welcome to Myrtle Manor" -- a reality show on TLC about a bunch of Southerners living in a trailer park -- might be setting a brand new record ... not for stellar ratings, but for the amount of cast members getting arrested in one weekend. Arrest #1: 28-year-old Taylor Jonathan Burt was popped by cops Saturday night after a teenage girl (under 16) told the Myrtle Beach Pd she and Burt engaged in sexual relations, according to a local report.

Some shows rise or fall on the star power of a charismatic lead, some rely on solid writing and era-centric plot twists, while others seduce with flash, style and the conviction that they've struck the Zeitgeist at just the right moment to have cool quotient locked. Mad Men hits all those bullet points.
If you arrive at the TV section of the Huffington Post any given Monday, you'll note anywhere from four to ten stories on the phenomenon that is Mad Men; perspective covering everything from plot analysis and the psychology of Don Draper, to Pete's latest blunder and the cut of Joan's jib. But regardless of these many enduring traits, Mad Men is mostly assuredly a study in style: the clothes, the sets, the props, the vernacular; the feng shui of it all.
A most salient example would be the mid-century cool of Roger Sterling's office. With its black and white palette,...

Question: Please tell me these rumors of a Glee death during May Sweeps aren’t true! –Eric
Ausiello: Rumors of a Glee death aren’t true. Glee Deaths on the other hand? That’s totally happening. Sources confirm to me exclusively that this season’s penultimate episode, which bears the ominous title “Funeral,” is about the death of several things. One being a beloved character. The other being a major couple.
Question: Do...

Paths Of Glory (Criterion) Stanley Kubrick’s 1957 antiwar classic put him on the map as a major filmmaker. Kirk Douglas stars in a true story about a French officer in Ww I who locks horns with the military’s top brass after his men are court-martialed for failing to carry out an obvious suicide mission. A perfect film, across the board, with fine support from George Macready as one of the most despicable martinet’s ever captured on film, Ralph Meeker, and Adolphe Menjou, all oily charm as a conniving General. Also available on Blu-ray disc. Bonuses: Audio commentary by critic Gary Giddins; Excerpt from 1966 audio interview with Kubrick; 1979 interview with Douglas; New interviews with Jan Harlan, Christiane Kubrick, and producer James B. Harris; French television documentary on real-life case which inspired the film; Trailer. Widescreen. Dolby 1.0 mono.

Charisma Carpenter, best known as sharp-tongued Cordelia Chase on Buffy the Vampire Slayer and Angel, is still keeping company with people who could kick your ass. Together with Lou Ferrigno and Erik Estrada (pictured), she's now a member of The Butterfinger Defense League, a trio that will teach us how to ward off people who want to lay a finger on our Butterfingers. They do this through individual training videos (Carpenter's alter ego "Sassy" has killer hips) and a group remake of a certain Sir Mix-a-Lot hit ("I Like Big Butterfingers"). Watch her in action after the jump. She also...
