NBC Universal Television Group has pinned senior vp stripes on publicity executives Curt King, Deborah Thomas and Joe Schlosser. Additionally, Kahlil Olmstead has been upped to director talent relations, and Lesley Cerwin, Kristy Chan and Chandler Spaulding have joined the NBC Universal TV publicity team. As senior vp NBC Universal Television Studio publicity, marketing and corporate communications, King will continue to oversee publicity activities for NBC Uni TV Studio and will add responsibilities of overseeing NBC Universal Television Group departments including talent relations, events and operations and guest relations.

The publicity department of NBC Universal Television Group has taken shape. Senior vp Rebecca Marks, who heads the publicity team of the new entity formed by the merger of NBC and Universal in May, will oversee the publicity efforts of all the company's divisions: NBC Entertainment, NBC Universal Cable, NBC Universal Television Studio and NBC Universal Television Distribution. She will continue to report to Jeff Zucker, president of NBC Universal TV Group, and Anna Perez, executive vp NBC Universal Corporate Communications. Reporting to Marks are vps Kathy Kelly-Brown, who will be in charge of publicity for the entertainment division; Curt King, who will head publicity for NBC Universal Television Studio and corporate communications; Jennifer Skorlich, who will supervise publicity for the new company's cable channels and NBC's late-night; Joe Schlosser, who shepherds publicity for NBC Uni TV Distribution; and newly promoted ratings expert Tom Bierbaum.
The executive pieces have fallen into place at NBC Universal Television, the combined TV production division formed after the completion of the merger between NBC and Universal last month. As expected, NBC Studios' Shelley McCrory has been named senior vp comedy development (HR 5/13). NBC's Katherine Pope has returned to the studio side as senior vp drama development, while USA Cable Entertainment's Paulo De Oliveira will serve as senior vp cable programs. In other appointments, Universal Network TV veteran Charles Engel will retain his executive vp programming title at the new entity; Jerry DiCanio of NBC Studios has been named head of production; Rick Olshansky of the Endeavor talent agency has been named executive vp business affairs; Universal TV Prods.' Nancy Perkins will serve as senior vp casting; and vp Curt King has been tapped to head publicity for the studio.
