The BBC has announced a number of new commissions including a series from Misfits creator Howard Overman called Atlantis.
The 13-part series will begin shooting in Wales and Morocco in April, while BBC controller of drama Ben Stephenson confirmed that it will air on BBC One in Merlin's Saturday night slot this autumn.
The series synopsis states: "The city of Atlantis is a mysterious, ancient place; a world of bull leaping, of snake haired goddesses and of palaces so vast it was said they were built by giants.
"It's into this strange, compelling realm that the young Jason arrives and an amazing adventure begins, bringing to life the vast store of Greek myths and legends re-imagined for a new generation."
Other commissions include Death Comes To Pemberley, a three-part adaptation of Pd James's homage to Jane Austen's Pride and Prejudice, written by Juliette Towhidi (Calendar Girls).
Set six years after Pride & Prejudice ends,...

The Melbourne office of Ddb has launched a TV and outdoor campaign for Sensis 1234, Telstra’s ‘telephone concierge’ service.
The idea behind the campaign, which focuses on Sensis 1234′s text service, is that there are some things that are not best said aloud.
“While Telstra customers may already know about the call service, we wanted this campaign to highlight the upside of our SMS service in situations where talking on the phone isn’t appropriate,” said Geraldine Davys, group manager brand and marketing communications at Sensis.
Ddb Melbourne’s managing partner Oliver Lynch added: “The changing nature of technology and how we use it has produced some unfortunate side effects. We’ve all heard things that are inappropriate and wish we could un-hear and this campaign taps into that insight.”
