Ninja the Dog(2014-2024)
Ninja was a unique, loving, playful, goofy and adoring Siberian husky. Ninja was no ordinary pup. From the early dog-training stages to taking him on several trips to the Jersey Shore to relocating to Northeast Pennsylvania he adapted quickly to his
Dunmore neighborhood. He even had his own float in the Scranton St. Patrick's Day and Santa Parades dressed up in character! Ninja was often spotted and greeted by dozens around the Scranton/Wilkes-Barre area. Whether it was in front of a grocery store or at a park on a sunny day, everybody wanted a photo or say 'hi' to Ninja.
When Ninja was six years-old, he was having some health issues that were worrisome and we knew that had to be taken care of immediately. However, we ran into some issues that we'd never imagine could happen to any pet owner. Ninja had a cyst that was growing on his prostate. We took him to a vet and the delay of the proper surgery lead to him becoming anemic. Ninja had to get one of his kidney's removed and after a long awaited battle in hopes of getting the right series of doctors in the Poconos & Lehigh Valley, Ninja became a miracle dog. Time was the essence. Post-surgeries: Ninja's story was shared with many. It even caught the eye of a film producer who produced a documentary called, 'The Name That Fits The Dog' that is on YouTube that explains his roller coaster journey in detail. Ninja fought hard and after many visits to the vet to say our final goodbyes, Ninja seemed to fight back just like his name, 'Ninja The Warrior.' However, on Memorial Day 2024, Ninja took his final breath surrounded by those who loved him dearly.
