Los Angeles, Sept 2 (Ians) Singer-songwriter Ellie Goulding has shared a cryptic quote as she hints at ‘moving on’ after splitting from her husband Caspar Jopling.
The couple, who share two-year-old son Arthur together, are said to have called time on their romance in July, after reportedly leading separate lives for six months citing ‘hectic schedules’ as the reason behind the break up, reports ‘Mirror.co.uk’.
The couple reportedly tried to stick together for the sake of son Arthur before eventually calling it quits.
The split comes four years after the couple married in York Minster in 2019 with guests including Princesses Beatrice and Eugenie, James Blunt, Katy Perry and Orlando Bloom. In a post to her Instagram Stories, Ellie hinted at “moving on” as the popstar is said to be leaning on millionaire and former politician Zac Goldsmith’s friendship as she navigates single life.

Los Angeles, July 3 (Ians) Singer Ellie Goulding has been in touch with her pal Zac Goldsmith, since her separation from husband Caspar Jopling. Ellie, 36, and Zac are understood to have become friends last year over their joint interest in the green agenda.
It was reported this week that the ‘Love Me Like You Do’ star is spending time apart from her 31-year-old husband of four years, reports Mirror.co.uk.
And one source today tells how left-leaning Ellie and Tory peer Zac, 48 – who announced his shock resignation as a Conservative minister on Friday – have been “in touch”. The unlikely pals were first pictured together in June last year. And Zac – who split from wife of 10 years Alice Rothschild in March – is now said to have been “understanding” towards Ellie as they both undergo major life changes.
The source said, quoted by Mirror.co.uk: “Ellie and Zac met some time ago and became pals.

Jemima Khan has been asked some rather personal questions in her time. While on the promotional trail for her first feature film, the charming romcom What’s Love Got to Do with It?, which she wrote and produced, a few Australian radio DJs threw her some zingers. “Literally, one of them asked me about the difference in pillow talk between [her ex-boyfriend] Russell Brand and [her ex-husband] Imran Khan,” she says, eyebrows raised. A quote from her father, the late financier Sir James Goldsmith, springs to mind: “I live for the day when people like you choke on your own vomit.” And yet Khan remained unruffled. “Don’t ask me what I answered, but I think I did what I always do – sort of laughed it off, and then made a joke of it, which is our tendency as women, isn’t it?”
By her own admission, she has faced far worse. “Nothing really compares...

The Only Way is Essex star Pete Wicks poses trapped and bloody in a series of striking photos and videos by renowned photographer Trevor Leighton to support animal charity Humane Society International UK’s Fur-Free Britain campaign.
Pete Wicks trapped and bloody in new charity campaign to ban fur
An estimated more than 100 million animals are killed every year for the fur trade. Most endure a life of deprivation and suffering on fur farms where they spend their lives in small, barren, wire cages. Other animals like coyotes are trapped in the wild. Once caught, these animals can languish in agony in cruel traps for hours or even days before being shot and killed when the trapper returns. Animals have been known to die from dehydration, starvation or attacks by predators, or even to gnaw off their own limb in an effort to escape.

Queen guitarist and animal advocate Brian May Cbe joined the UK’s leading animal-protection groups at 10 Downing Street this week to hand in a petition with 425,834 signatures urging Prime Minister Theresa May to introduce a UK animal-fur import ban.
Brian May With Petition To Introduce a UK animal-fur import ban
The campaigners wore T-shirts that read, “#FurFreeBritain”, and two sported 2 foot papier mâché fox and rabbit heads, which were made by Paperhand Puppet Intervention.
Fur farming was banned in the UK in 2000, but since then, Britain has imported animal fur worth more than £650 million from countries such as China and Poland, where animals are typically bred in appalling conditions on fur farms.
The petition signatures were collected as part of the Fur Free Britain campaign by the UK animal charities Humane Society International UK, People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals (PETA), Four Paws, Animal Aid, Brian May’s Save Me Trust,...

On Sadiq Khan mistaking SW16 for Tooting, models of diplomacy David Cameron and the Queen, and Woody’s closest critic
There has been much rejoicing in my neck of the woods at Sadiq Khan becoming London mayor. Partly because we’re pleased that Zac Goldsmith’s unpleasant campaign backfired so badly, but mainly because Sadiq lives on our road, is well liked and is often seen out and about in the neighbourhood. Our bit of Streatham – I know Sadiq says he comes from the rather more upmarket Tooting but he lives in a SW16 postcode, which is definitely Streatham – hasn’t had a worthwhile celebrity since Cynthia Payne. We’re also hoping there may be some knock-on benefits. The least we are expecting is an increased police presence, though the local force isn’t as dozy as all that. Two years ago we reported our car stolen; six weeks later...

The Conservative London mayoral candidate – and supposed Bollywood enthusiast – couldn’t name a single film or actor from the genre. Here’s a quick cheat sheet
In the latest instalment of his offence-inducing courtship of the Indian vote, Zac Goldsmith has professed his love of Bollywood. “I love almost everything about [it],” he enthused at the Asian awards. “I love the atmosphere, the colour, the excitement.” Yet when pressed on his passion, the Conservative candidate for London mayor was unable to name a single film. If only he had been briefed with our blagger’s guide to Bollywood …

The Daily Mail's pent-up frustration and rage at being told off by Lord Justice Leveson for writing mean things about Hugh Grant when he appeared at his inquiry was finally unleashed on Tuesday in Quentin Letts's parliamentary sketch. Letts, cleared weapons free in a target-rich environment, let fly at Leveson witnesses Grant, Steve Coogan and Max Mosley – and also had Zac Goldsmith in his sights for good measure – when they appeared before the parliamentary committee examining reform of privacy and injunctions. He gave them both barrels, natch: the "four rich swordsmen", "our stern quartet of trouser-droppers", "sado-masochist freaks, libidinous actors". But Letts's harshest words were reserved for Coogan and his use of language: "He has the makings of a red-top sub-editor." Mi-aow!

Hugh attends joint Lords and Commons phone hacking committee supported by Steve Coogan and Max Mosley
The Hugh Grant tour rolled into the House of Commons on Monday. It's been nationwide; they should sell T-shirts marked "Birmingham, Liverpool, Manchester, Royal Courts of Justice", and now "Westminster".
Many of the fans – or "reporters" – have been to all the gigs. They queued up, oh, for minutes to make sure they got in.
And it was worth it. Hugh was at the joint Lords and Commons committee on phone hacking with "support", Steve Coogan, Max Mosley and Zac Goldsmith, officially the nation's dishiest MP.
Hugh reprised the story of paparazzi trying to run over the grandmother of his new baby. It always gets the audience going.
Zac Goldsmith is new to the tour, but he brought some great material. His emails had been hacked, and while he was playing in the garden with his children,...

Hero of 1990s cartoon Captain Planet and the Planeteers is to return to screens in a live action film for the big screen
To quote a popular frog, it's not easy being green. Fortunately for the downtrodden environmentalist, there are those inspiring role models who make being green seem the easiest option - Zac Goldsmith, Al Gore, the sweetcorn-flogging jolly green giant. Heroes all, really.
So, you can imagine how pleased we were to hear the best of them all, Captain Planet, is soon to return to our screens in a live action movie dealing with all sorts of extreme weather events.
For those of you unaware of Cartoon Network's finest eco-warrior, Captain Planet first aired in 1990 with the catchy, "Captain Planet, he's a hero. Gonna take pollution down to zero" theme tune.
You will of course recall that the good captain was backed by a team of five Planeteers sporting rings representing Earth,...

In a highly charged Commons Debate and free vote in London last Thursday, the UK Government was defeated by politicians and the nation who now demand an outright ban on the use of wild animals in circuses rather than a system of licensing.
Zac Goldsmith, Conservative MP for Richmond Park & North Kingston was supportive of the all-party motion, which called for the introduction of “regulation banning the use of all wild animals in circuses” from July 2012.

Britain's Prime Minister Gordon Brown reads a statement outside 10 Downing Street. Photograph by Anthony Devlin/Pa Wire I knew we were in for an interesting night when Catherine Mayer, the Time magazine Bureau Chief in London, leaned over to tell me that a group of people dressed as zombies and vampires were tying to break into the election count at the Richmond constituency, where Zac Goldsmith waited for his result with his mother Lady Annabel Goldsmith and his sister, Jemima Khan, sitting huddled like refugees next to a radiator. Goldsmith won for the Conservatives, gaining the seat that had eluded his father, Sir James, two elections before, and once the result was announced, the local community of walking dead faded unobtrusively into the night. Actually, the usual parade of obsessives and exhibitionists that accompany a British election were completely outdone by the results, which today add up to a hung parliament,...

Whitehead was a friend of Doherty's who had recently completed a documentary film about his former band, The Libertines. Her father is the filmmaker Peter Whitehead and her mother, Dido Whitehead, is a cousin of Jemima Khan and Zac Goldsmith. This is just the latest of Doherty's drug offenses.
