- According to Richie on a Ramones documentary, one of the reasons he was dissatisfied with the band was because he didn't get a piece of the t-shirt and poster sales.
- Played drums for The Ramones from 1983 to 1987 replacing Marky Ramone. The Richie-era albums are "Subterranean Jungle", "Too Tough to Die", "Animal Boy", and "Halfway to Sanity". Marky then returned to the band in 1989.
- Richie's best known Ramones song, "Somebody Put Something in My Drink" was featured on the album Ramones Mania, the only Ramones album to go gold.
- While he was in the band, Richie Ramone was openly praised for his songwriting by Joey Ramone: "We wanted [Richie] to feel a part of the band. We never let the drummer write before, because John, Dee Dee and I felt like we were the band. Marc Bell would try to give us songs, but they weren't any good -- he wouldn't even write them, his brother would. But Richie's a regular Phil Collins.".
